The guy that owns Pettit Racing in West Palm Beach used to have a Toyota Rav 4 that was turbo charged, had big fat tires on it, swaybars the size of my forearm and super stiff springs on it, almost no body roll and it was lowered slightly.

He would go out to the track with it since he was friends with the owner and could go out anytime he wanted and run, he told me is was hysterical to be passing sports cars int hat thing, it would freak them out and they would run over in the pits and demand to know what was up with his SUV.

I am sure your having fun out there and thats all that matters.

there is video here somewhere of a VW microbus with a pretty built flat six and a full boogie suspension, pretty impressive to see it going around fast cars and making them look like Yugos or something

Yep, thats the way I'm looking at it.

I've got 4 track days and two a/x's in it since my 914 lost it's motor.
Good trainer car. Forces smooth.

I hope it helps me.

Yes.

I chopped all four coil springs one revolution to lower it and stiffen spring rate, Porterfield race pads, Motul fluid, gutted all weight out of it and a GT3 rear wing

Hee hee... I just love this kind of stuff!

My DD is a Hyundai, and back when I could get WRC on TV Hyundai had a team.

If I ever hit the lottery I would take my Hyundai to their race shop and have them build me a sleeper... pretty expensive joke but it would be fun.

The guy that bought my 540/6 has a 240SX rally car, he races in one of the SCCA rally leagues. For a while he even had the big rally lights mounted up on the hood, that was pretty funny. His forum username is rallyxpos on the BMW forums.

I was told that rear spoilers were ineffective on front wheel drive cars.

It's worth more than the car.
