Kucinich's impeachment drive.

Heard about this on the news? Doubt it.

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/23/kucinich-starts-new-impeachment-drive/

today Mr. Kucinich took to the floor to fire off his latest salvo at the Bush administration: his plans to introduce Articles of Impeachment against President Bush on Jan. 28 — the day of Mr. Bush’s State of the Union speech.

Here's a link to his complete doc:

Too bad we can't get dubya to lie about sex or something important, then it would stick.

Wait for it . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

they should just leave the articles of impeachment on the top shelf where he can't reach.

What a colossal waste of everyone's time. It sucks to be irrelevant, but at least he has a hot wife --- to make him look even more irrelevant.

Shaun, I don't know what your reply means, (I guess I'm not too sharp in some areas) but it looks just like what my German grandmother used to make. Could you post the recipe?

As for Kucinich, why doesn't he focus on something important like energy policy instead of this nonsense.

Whenever I see the word impeachment, I can only think of peach cobbler.

I don't know why.

I would rather have peach cobbler than impeach Bush, but I'm selfish that way.

if the world ate more peach cobbler, I think it would be a better place.

here is the recipe:

Peach and Amaretto Cobbler

Serves about 8-10 for dessert

Ingredients

3 firm ripe peaches (or enough to yield 2 cups when sliced)
1/2 cup butter

3 Tablespoons white sugar
1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup quick cooking oats
3/4 cup - 1 cup brown sugar (depending on how sweet the fruit is)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 Tablespoon Amaretto

Method

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Blanch the peaches for 1 minute each and remove with a slotted spoon. Peel the peaches when cool enough to handle, and slice evenly.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place the butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish, and place in the oven to melt while the oven is preheating. Remove as soon as butter has melted, about 5 minutes.

In a medium bowl, toss the sliced peaches with the 3 Tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of flour.

In a medium bowl, stir together the rest of the flour, oats, sugar, and baking powder. Add the milk and Amaretto and whisk until well blended, then pour the batter into the pan over the butter. Do not stir.

Distribute the sliced peaches evenly over the batter.

Bake for about 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. A toothpick inserted into the cobber should come out clean.

Isn't he the cutest little fellow? And his impeachment hobby certainly seems to be keeping him happy and busy. It's so nice to see people with disabilities working at something they enjoy.

The "list" I heard was dealing mostly with no-bid contracts given to KBR/Haliburton and other contractors who were robbing the US tax payer blind. The stories (true stories), the ones we know about already were so outrageous that I just could not take it.

One woman paid herself 5.4 million for nine month of recruiting work to get contractors to fill the bids. She recruited very few and failed to meet the minimum quotas, and also gave herself a $270,000 yearly retirement package when she exited the program.

The KBR "cost plus" contract for transportation lead to the burning of heavy equipment/trucks which needed minor repair and maintenance because as KBR officials put it; they make more money with replacement than repair.

The fork lift thing was almost funny. The contractor stole fork lifts from the Iraqi government, painted them a different color and sold them back as new to the Iraqi reconstruction program.

Who's to blame?

Who can we ask questions to?

Who running this war anyway?

EDIT:

17 stupid posts to Gogar's one and informative post.

I don't see why I should waste any more time here.

This is such a sad thing to see, it really is.
