The maximum allowable cross-slope of an ADA ramp is 2%.

If a ramp has a slope greater than 5%, it requires handrails.

A ramp cannot have a slope greater than 1:12 (8.33%).

My whiteboard has writing on it. Mostly in black dry erase pen. Some words are underlined, while others have stars next to them.

In stark contrast to Connecticut's hit and run victim, in Sebring the Sunset Grille Deck Collapses After Customers Rush to Choking Victim's Aid

SEBRING — What started as a choking turned into a major scare for customers at The Sunset Grille Saturday evening as too many good Samaritans rushed the balcony and caused it to partially collapse.

Nobody was injured by the collapse of the deck, said Tom Dunn, the deputy chief of the Sebring Fire Department. The choking victim was driven to Highlands Regional Medical Center, but her name and condition were not available Sunday afternoon.

The choking and deck collapse were reported at 7:46 p.m. Saturday.

Sunset Grille Manager Mark Biermann said that 30 customers ran onto the back deck to help the woman out when they noticed she was choking.

"We noticed that the deck started sinking a little bit," Biermann said. He told the patrons to stop rushing to the deck and to get off of it, but he said nobody listened.

As the crowd grew to about 40 on the back deck, the northern side sank down.

Dunn described the scene as "startling" for the customers.

That back deck was roped off Sunday afternoon as men were busy repairing the pilings underneath. A few customers were dining on the deck touching the building.

Biermann said the back deck was an add-on that was installed by previous owners. The current owners have had the Sunset Grille for about 3.5 years.

The Sunset Grille scheduled a set of band performances on the deck for the Fourth of July. Biermann said the deck should be fixed by Sunday evening.

"We want to make sure the deck is completely safe," he said.

Random Crap

You don?t want this crap. We don?t know you, but we don?t need to: nobody wants this crap. That?s how it wound up here in the first place. That?s why we can?t get rid of it through any legitimate means. It?s rubbish. It?s garbage. It?s junk, it?s trash, it?s flotsam. You didn?t want it when you saw it at the dollar store. You?d have better luck picking any three items from the lost & found bin at the sleaziest, grimiest hourly motel in town. You?re more likely to find something useful in the garbage dump of a Chinese prison camp. The question, then, is?why are you clicking that big orange button?
HEY CRAP-FOR-BRAINS, SEE IF YOU CAN WRAP YOUR TINY LITTLE MIND AROUND THIS:
1. WHEN YOU ORDER THIS ITEM, YOU?LL GET ONE BAG WITH (up to) THREE CRAPS IN IT.
2. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELECTING THE QUANTITY THREE WHEN YOU ORDER.
3. YOU WILL WASTE FREIGHT IF YOU ORDER FEWER THAN THREE.
In return for your money, you?ll get some kind of bag and some quantity of crap. We promise nothing more than that. You should expect even less.
THE HOLY CRAP COMMANDMENTS:
01. Thou shalt not expect thy crap to be especially nice. The only possible exception: natives of Bizarro World.
02. Thou shalt not whine and complain when some people?s crap turns out to be nicer than yours. That?s life, them?s the breaks, you pays your money and you etc.
03. Thou shalt take a moment to consider whether you might be better off just not buying this crap. Then take another, and another. If you?re lucky, it?ll be sold out by then.
04. Thou shalt not order just one crap and blame it on our server. We don?t take kindly to bullies who pick on defenseless machines.
05. To paraphrase Stephen Stills, if you don?t get the crap you want, want the crap you get.
THE HOLY CRAP COMMANDMENTS v2.0:
I. Thou shalt expect nothing beyond one bag of some kind and your chosen quantity of crappy items (which should be THREE).
II. Thou shalt not whine and complain when some people?s crap turns out to be nicer than yours.
III. Thou shalt take a moment to consider whether you might be better off just not buying this crap.
IV. Thou shalt not order just one crap and blame it on anything but your own inattention.
V. To paraphrase Stephen Stills, shalt thou not get the crap you want, want the crap you get.
  • The crap will be shipped via SmartPost, the crappiest shipping method available to us.

This thread is a scam, and I would like a moderator to close it, as it was created only to deceive.

I mean really folks- how "random" is it to type a message into the same thread everyone else is. In fact- into the same website, the same OT forum you do every day?

Hardly random. I bet you're even typing on the same keyboard you always do. Wow- how unpredictible and clever.

My random contribution to this thread: I'm going to replace 3 toilet seats in the house today. And I certainly won't be here to talk about it!
