I am loosing vision in one of my eyes!!

What is going on?

It started as a small blur in one of my eyes about 20 minutes ago and it now has grown to a big blurry splotch taking up about 20% of my vision.

Migraine on the way?

Go to Eye Doc?

Or go take a nap?

Get thyself to an optimologist...this is an M.D. who specializes in the eye.

Call your doctor and optimistist.

I hope it's just eye strain telling you that new glasses, more sleep and cutting back on the coffee is required.

Heck if it were me, I'd be calling my wife and my chiropractor.

My wife knows a lot of medical stuff, most women seem to be very health conscious.

See a doc now.

It could be anything minor, but it can be part of your retina coming lose. Serious business.

Serious business indeed

What else ya got? Diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, any bumps in the head, headaches, ringing in your ears, your eye guy will be asking you this stuff.

Yes to all of the above. I have very bad eyes and this is something the docs have drummed into my head over the years. Losing vision means immediate emergency visit to the doc. It can be somethign minor, but it can be something horrible and with they eyes, seconds count.

I note no response from Jim...hopefully he's out the door, on the way to see a specialist.

I have this as well.

It's kind of a blur just outside of your normal field of vision.

I noticed it several years ago. Got tested. Wild tests.
Dye in the blood to watch for leaks in the eyball. ( then you pee florescent orange! )

They called it a special name that amounts to scar like tissue on the retina.
It's supposed to go away in men our age. No far it's not.

Same with Cindy....it was 1977...(edit) I'd still suggest eye specialist first...could be many things. He (or she) could then suggest a neurologist...if needed.

Agree, retinal detachment possible. Retinal vein or artery occlusion or even retinal hemorrhage also possible.
