Seems I have been going about this all wrong...

An M3 is better on gas than a Prius afterall.

What they failed to realize is that most prius owners drive 54 mph in the fast lane, especially when the traffic is going 75.
why do I always get stuck behind hyper-mileage morons? They camp in the fast lane because they can get 1/2 mpg better there, even if they cause a traffic jamb behind them and end up wasting more fuel than they save.

If it were up to me I'd ban all electronic mileage readouts in cars. They make eco-tards drive like even bigger idiots than they already are.

I guess the only thing the Prius is good for is shutting down at a stoplight/sign.
Always hated those cars.

Which you can do with any car, albeit manually. My understanding is that if you need to idle for 30 seconds or more, it is more efficient to simply turn off the car.

That said, at night that may be a safety concern, given that you can easily drain your battery in a short time...

1. Most drivers of this ilk probably aren't aware enough of surrounding traffic patterns to notice the line of 15 cars backed up behind them.

2. Even if they did, they're not breaking the speed limit law, so you have no legal right to be mad at them.

3. How much gas you're wasting is none of their concern. They're getting 55 mpg, which is what's important.

Perhaps those comments should all be in green.

Not around here. Prius' generally tend to be among the faster cars on our freeways. I think the smug makes them go faster.
