Internet at deer camp....*sigh*

Well, it was bound to happen one day. 100 miles north of Green Bay Wisconsin, and I've got net on my iphone. The world grew up

I had internet access on my blackberry from my stand in Ontario this year.

It was kind of depressing, but still helped to kill the boredom a bit keeping up with news, etc.

We didn't have cell unless we were at a certain point on the ranch, but that was 4 years ago. We had the ultimate in Directv though. I miss those days.

Are you closer to Menominee or Iron Mountain?

In an earlier thread, HardDrive said he was going to Crystal Falls -- which would put him a bit more than 100 miles north of Green Bay.

I grew up in Carney, MI; if HardDrive drove up Hwy 41 from Green Bay, he went right through Carney -- but if he blinked, he might have missed it.

I drive up 41 from Green Bay to Houghton every summer. I don't recall a Carney.

It's easy to miss.

Menominee, Stephenson, Dagget, Carney, Nadeau (just barely), Powers -- that's the order of the "towns" traveling north on 41.

Wait...I usually cut over on 141. I would miss Carney completely.

Our camp is a little further west, north of Boulder Junction, WI just over the MI border. I need to get up there =(

Some deer camp. You're not far enough into the wilderness. You'll know when you're out in the "dark fields of the republic" when there are no signal bars.
