Need some component stereo assistance

Have an Onkyo stereo component shelf system as pictured:

Problem is the CD player shot craps beyond repair. Checking out the reviews I find this to be a common problem. Another problem is that you can't buy just the CD player.

I have done some research and either I suck with google-fu or they just don't make CD changers this small any more. Mine is 10" wide and 16" deep. I don't care about the depth, but would like to keep it narrow.

I like the shelf systems. Any help or suggestions for replacement of the CD changer or maybe the entire system?

What is your price range? Do you have a iPod you want to use with the stereo? Does it have to be a multi CD changer? If so how many Cd's?

I've looked at the Denon. I am looking for a single CD changer if I can find one. I figure fewer moving parts the better.

My preference is Bose. I've had onkyo in the past I did not like the quality of the Bass. I have several Bose setups (home & office) and no matter what your setup - big or small, thay all sound great. If you are looking for a small system, consider the wave radio w/cd it's very nice.
