I am using Evernote more and more these days; Twitterific; Toodledo; Dropbox; Weather Channel (TWC); MotionX GPS Drive; TripIt; IMDb

All of these rock in their respective niche areas IMO.

If there's an app you want written for YOUR iphone, send me a pm. There just may be enough demand to justify the time required to write the program...

For all you Pilots out there

Download AeroWeather. Gives you the latest weather, METARS, NOTAMS, and PIREPs for whatever airport you are looking for. Great if you fly.

"5-0 radio" has live EMS feeds and scanner function. Their "News Feed" app is great too!
"MyNetDiary" is pretty amazing. A handy tool for personal weight loss or gain.
If you Homebrew, "Sparge Pal" has helped out several times.
I've yet to decide if "Slacker radio" is better than Pandora, but I'm leaning that way. Slacker allows you to outrightly ban an artist from being played.

I like Slacker and Pandora - but to me they are very different.

For example, if I build a radio station called 'The Grateful Dead', Pandora will play Dead, Phish, Niel Young, String Cheese - main stream jam bands.

Slacker, when given the same instructions, will play similar artists to Pandora but will add in many artists that I have never heard of - which I like.

LogMeIn - this app gives you the ablility to remote access any PC that is authorized. (My desktop and Laptops). So if I need to email something to work or my cell phone, I just LogMeIn!!

this is a screen shot of my iPhone using my iMac. Works well with PC too.

I'll tell you what I want:

I-SNOOZE BUTTON.

The regular alarm clock part of the clock that comes with the phone has a little tiny "snooze" button. We need an app that has a snooze button that covers most of the screen. Stupid, yeah. Awesome, yeah.

Dumb question

I downloaded a song from ITunes to my IPhone, I can't figure out how to upload from the phone to my computer. I tried sync. and windows Explore any suggestions?

Line 2 is very interesting.

Although, at $15/month, it doesn't look likely to save money on voice calling - could simply increase minutes under the ATT plan.

if you synced through itunes, it should be in your itunes after syncing...check "purchased" in the playlist column on the left after syncing and see if song shows up

One of the apps I think is very useful is Air Sharing. It cost 2.99 but it allows you to use any web browser to log onto your iPhone and transfer files. You have to have Wi-Fi but it is very simple to use.

I copied some 20 MB images from my home computer into a folder I made. I transported them to work and download them to my home computer. It made the iPhone into a wireless USB drive. It has passwords if you want use them.

Very handy.

gr8fl4porsche 04-30-2010 12:21 PM

I was looking at Air Sharing and found mbDrive Free. It is a free app that turns your phone into a wireless USB drive. Real basic but works well. Also requires Wi-Fi to obtain an ip address.

Apple doesn't like things to flow that way. Try this.

That looks like a mac only solution.
What I want to figure out is how to get my phone book from my phone to my windows xp computer.
