What is MMS? I'm real slow today.

Also, if anyone notices they are incurring ATT charges for this tethering and emm emm ess stuff, let the rest of us know . . .

Ok.

Tethered to MacBook using Bluetooth. MacBook's WiFi turned off. iPhone WiFi turned off, connected via 3G. Speedtest.net run on Macbook's browser gives 790kb/s down.

iPhone WiFi turned on, connected via our home WiFi network. MacBook still tethered via Bluetooth. Speedtest.net on MacBook browser gets 1.1Mb/s down.

Switched MacBook's wifi back on, so MacBook connecting directly to home WiFi network, 11G. 7.6Mb/s down.

iMac cabled to the cable modem, 22.2Mb/s down. Comcast is doing well by me. I think they've rolled out DOCSIS 3.0 here.

For some reason I can't get tethering over USB to work. Also, one app (Radio France internet radio app) won't launch now - but haven't tried to launch it since upgrading to 3.0 anyway. Otherwise, all seems fine.

Thank you Mr Wizard!

MMS is picture messaging.

I'm not going to load that yet. Looks to be a little tricky. Working on the tethering right now.

Picture messaging, who needs that. When we were young, if you wanted to message a picture to someone you had to walk 5 miles in the snow and beam it to them over IR.

The question is whether the iPhone notifies ATT that it is being used in tethered mode. If the only info that ATT has is how much bandwidth you are using, then I'm not concerned since I don't use that much, even on my laptop EVDO card.

yeah that will be the key

was hoping to ditch my verizon card

Don't use it all that much either but dealing with the expense cause when u need it u just need it

$55 is more than verizon costs me

if it were break even or cheaper or better yet FREE then I'd dump verizon

Is there an app to mimic those golf caddy units to tell how far the pin is?

I thought there was a voice control feature in 3.0. Anyone found it?
