I saw not one but two!

I thought these things were just promotional cars for awhile until real production went into high gear.

As usual I was wrong...twice.

I really got to hand it to the designers for the new challenger. The styling cues from the original are extremely obvious compared to the hideous charger.

It's not exactly my style, but it sure is good looking.

Those should sell really well with gas over $5 a gallon.

I've got a feeling that those who can afford to buy one aren't too concerned about the price of gas.

I finally saw one the other day...Is it just me or is this thing HUGE compared to the original?
(A fellow in my neighborhood has both a '70 TA and an AAR Cuda, and they seem miniscule compared to this).

I think they look great. If I was in the market I would buy one of them way before a Mustang or Camero, if they ever come out.

Yes quite huge. Saw two this weekend. From the back straight on, it looks weird.

Saw a new Shelby too. The tailights do that sequential thing like the '68s.

C'mon Chevrolet...Take a Subaru boxer engine, place it mid-or-rear in a light body with full-independent suspension, take one of the old Shinoda design bodies and give us a "new" Corvair!

Tom? How's the back seat room look? Enough to haul a couple of adults for a couple of hundred miles?

I'm reserving judgement until I drive one...probably months away in this backwaters area.

Road & Track from a couple months ago had some articles on the new Challenger. They parked it side-by-side with Sam Posey's Trans-Am racecar from about 30 years ago. The current car looks to be almost twice as tall as the racer.

Haven't seen one in my parts, yet. They look cool, though.

Now you're talking. But what do you bet Ralph Nader will try to kill it again?

We had one at a local cruise night this past week. Nice car but not for me. If I had the $$$ to spend for a another toy it would be a 993.

Like mudman said, here in Michigan we have seen them for a while now. I have seen a prototype Camaro in person and it does look cool.

rouxroux---Right on!!! A new Corvair would be sweet. As long as Chevy priced it right I think it would sell.

Hey, they redid the GTO, maybe some old codger still left in design will get his drawings picked for production.

One thing I noticed about new car introductions lately is the use of celebrities for promotions.

Yeah, I posted some pics of the Challenger a few weeks ago, I like it alot.

The new Camaro doesnt hold a candle to it. Its not that its bad looking, but it doenst look retro at all. Looks like a modern, new type car. The Challenger looks very close to the 70s model.

Saw an orange one out this Sunday am. Looks good, but will probably be the last of its kind as thirsty heavy cars are slowly gonna go away. It seemed to be about Chrysler 300m size.

Production is rolling already.
Dealer ship in the town where my ma and pa live got one in. Dealer said it was sold before it was ever offloaded from the truck - to a buyer in Cali.

Note the obligatory wife beater shirt on the driver. I think it comes standard.

I saw a review on it last week, not very good. Basically they said it is a different body on a 300 frame and it drives like a overpowered 300. Plus the interior is all ABS plastic...well like all the other Dodge vehicles.
