Isn't he the guy who was on south park and didn't mind when they made fun of Jesus and the Virgin Mary and Catholics, but went ballistic and quit when they made fun of the church of Scientology?

Hope he has fun on his space ship.

Ah yes, here is a quote from Mr. Hayes and a reply from south park:
Quote:
"There is a place in this world for satire, but there is a time when satire ends, and intolerance and bigotry towards religious beliefs of others begins," Mr Hayes said in a statement. "As a civil rights activist of the past 40 years I cannot support a show that disrespects those beliefs and practices."

"This has nothing to do with intolerance and bigotry and everything to do with the fact that Isaac Hayes is a Scientologist and that we recently featured Scientology in an episode of South Park," said Matt Stone, who created the series with Trey Parker. "In 10 years and more than 150 episodes Isaac never had a problem with the show making fun of Christians, Muslims, Mormons and Jews. He got a sudden case of religious sensitivity when it was his religion featured on the show. To bring the civil rights struggle into this is just a non sequitur. Of course, we will release Isaac from his contract and we wish him well."
hyp·o·crite /ˈhɪpəkrɪt/ Pronunciation[hip-uh-krit]
–noun
1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

Issac Hayes was a BIG LOSER at the Crap tables back in the day when he appeared at the old Alladin Hotel...to the tune of 100K in 1970....he wound up working for free to cover those loses.

YES! (I'm not sure what the prior reply is about)

Get a stress test you men over 50 with high blood pressure/cholesterol/diabetes/smoking. Even if you think you're in shape. At least find out if you have some of those risk factors...

Since his cause of death is unknown and the posts lack of relevance to anything one can only assume it's relevance.

At best it shows very poor taste.

Well let's see, number one cause of death in the US = CV disease (essentially heart attacks). Age 65. From the South, and yes they eat fried chicken there. Also fried cheese, fried ice cream, double fried stuff too. Found near treadmill (exercise is known to temporarily increase risk of heart attack, although long term it reduces risk). Also not white or asian (for all of those with PC meters touchy or reversed) - ethnic group with higher than caucasian mortality from CV disease. Occam's razor. Ergo CV disease.

Poor taste? Hmmm, think we're being too touchy? It's not like anyone said he deserved to die, Darwin award or anything.

or, it highlights your lack of insight into frequent causes of death in older black gentlemen and some of the contributing factors.

I always liked Isaac Hayes, Duke of New York.

It was a bit silly when he got bent about making fun of Scientology, what with all the other offensive stuff on that show.

Who's the black private dick
That's a sex machine to all the chicks?
(Shaft!)
You're damn right

Who is the man
That would risk his neck for his brother man?
(Shaft!)
Can ya dig it?

Who's the cat that won't cop out
When there's danger all about
(Shaft!)
Right on

You see this cat Shaft is a bad mother--
(Shut your mouth)
But I'm talkin' about Shaft
(Then we can dig it)

He's a complicated man
But no one understands him but his woman
(John Shaft)
