Amazing - an entire business built around a mispelled word... No worries!

Personally, the Americanization of the Australian phrase "no worries" sort of bugs me. It's overused, but one of my least favorite people on the planet uses it frequently. I think it will run its course and go the way of "whatever." Maybe not, though. "Whatever!" was virtually a synonym for F-you. "No worries" is much friendlier and may hang around.

This morning I'm wondering if there's a Wikipedia entry detailing the useage of "no worries" and how/when it made its way from Australia to the US. Hey, these things just pop into my head sometimes. One of the first things I see when I Google the phrase is this:
http://www.noworrys.com/
A website and three retail stores built around selling t-shirts and stuff covered with the phrase "No Worry's!" [SIC] Didn't someone along the way point this out? "Uh, Bob. I think "worry's" is spelled "worries."" "No worries, mate. We've already printed 4000 t-shirts. Nobody will notice."

I was kind of wondering who "Worry" is, considering the possessive placement of the apostrophe. I mean, Worry's WHAT?

Is it possible that someone has established "No Worries" as a trade name, so this guy had to change the SPEELING to bring his fantastic idea to fruition?

I mean, WORRY'S WHAT?

The company is "No Worry". The gear being sold is therefore "No Worry's gear".

Maybe.

A huge pet peeve of mine are these businesses that use alternate spellings for no apparent reason. Why make it "Kar Parts"? It's the same number of characters to spell it correctly. Or "Kwik Wash". WTF? I will never understand it. Even in the days when everyone used the Yellow Pages, it was hard to find certain businesses if you didn't know the correct spelling of their name.

I was in a grocery store a few years ago and they always have those signs for "10 items or less". Someone had taken a Sharpie and written over it, "Fewer. PLEASE!!!!!"
