other way around Rick, LOL! Unless you can show me your stuff in structural molecular biochem, x-ray crystallography and Fourier transforms. It was the TA suck-ups who couldn't handle the actual science of the pre-med curriculum and went on to become doctors. they took the bare basics of organic chem, cell bio, genetics, etc. no high level classes, certainly not physical chemistry, and biochemistry, fuhgetaboutit.

Well, Shaun, I'm glad you have decided that your experience with the "TA suckups" and your experience as a "pre-med for a time" qualifies you to comment on those of us who actually completed medical school and residency.

I will, however, respectfully disagree.

For example, I have no basis to comment on how to make really cool girls t-shirts...

Hey, we do that here, but we use neutrons instead of x-rays!

uhhh, 2+ years ago now, about $90K down the drain. Wow! time flies. I never designed G9Girl shirts, I did the magazine and the marketing btw.

Little Traveler, boys 12M - 12 (and men's someday soon) and The Great Adventures of Joey & Rex (book/animation series launching this spring) grew from the ashes.

That's some really cool stuff! I do sometimes regret not going into research, but my brain is just not cut out for it in so many ways.

Sorry bout that Shaun.

So, which part of my statement did you find incorrect regarding science?

yeah well, it only cost me $500K and my integrity and my relationship with my Dad. brighter days ahead.

my cut was only on my one-time fellow pre-med students, though I suppose I shouldn't complain, my 2nd semester cell bio lab grade was entirely based on building a giraffe out of glass pipettes for the junior TA.

We've all done cool and amazing things with our lives, some went into residency, some didn't. I wouldn't expect that the former group is in any way better than the latter group. Remember...what do you call the person who finished last in med school? The title "doctor" doesn't mean much when it's used as a weapon.

LOL, not too far off the mark. However, there were a few of us in my med school class that were actually hard science majors, some with graduate experience or degrees, or obtaining their PhD concurrently in biochem, etc.. However, the average student was a biology major with little exposure to physics, advanced chemistry, or math. Then there were the Christian Medical Society types whose level of self-delusion required a staggering amount of mental compartmentalization to cope with the actual science taught.
