Science has not postulated that "theory" you keep claiming they did. So the eggheads to which you owe uncountable thanks to for your very life, were not wrong. Science seldom as a whole makes sweeping conclusions from so little data as you are espousing.

You seem to be blowing this way out of proportion in lame attempt to lambast the eggheads. It's not as if a cornerstone of mainstream science rested on whether or not birds were self-aware. Jesus H Christ on a popsicle stick - we learn something new every day - that doesn't mean we were idiots the day before.

I believe my point is as obvious as it is true. Many (if not most) scientific facts are only 'facts' because we're a lot more ignorant about our universe than we think.

It's amusing when previously held 'facts' are exposed as ignorant misunderstandings. Scientist should really always preface their statements of 'fact' with we "we think..."
