You lefties defended charges about Obama's patriotism as baseless. Is this different?

What does Barack believe in? He, like all of the other politicians is able to hide, camouflage, or nuance all of his beliefs.

Separation of church and state, most likely (I'll guess).

When he was pinned down on the "when does life begin question, he deflected it to "above my pay grade".

You got a definite scientific answer to that question - or is that above your pay grade also?

So what does he believe in? I don't know.

You ain't been paying attention. He believes in a flavor of Christianity. He's plenny edumacated I hears so I 'spect he probly leans towards science stuff rather than creationism (I'm pretty sure, not positive though).

Some believe he's a Muslim and maybe/probbly is soft on Al Quaida (or however the hell ya spell it).

HAHAHA!

Palin, if offered that question, would answer from her beliefs. That would stake her position and I would know exactly where she stands.

Cmon! You know as well as I do that she's downright agin' disposin' of babies in hospital trash cans! She can probly tell ya when life begins, too! Acordin' to what she believes of course.

Thankfully, At least we know what she believes in.

Thankfully. Yes indeed.

You should also remember that Obama had his pastor as a very visible CAMPAIGN ADVISOR. At least until the news broke that his pastor hates whitey and blames the government for 9/11. Suddenly, BO isn't so religious anymore, and maybe he slept through all of the pastor's sermons for the last 20 years. Amazing how people and the media seem to forget such things.

Jindal? Give me a break. you need to go to www.forgotston.com to read about the 2 different Jindals: "Governor" Bobby vs. "Campaign" Bobby. It took the citizens of LA to threaten to march on the Capitol building & recall petitions to finally force BJ to veto that stupid legislative pay hike he let slide in (a campaign promise he was going to break), plus the riddling of the state ethics board, and many other gaffes. Rush Limbaugh was all for the guy, but believe me, he's too young & inexperienced. Give him a few years to mature and whip this state into shape and I could see him as a VP choice in '12. He sure did show some decent leadership theis past week (a welcome relief from our previous dem. failure of a Gov.).

I suspect Obama probably believes in analysis. He seems very pragmatic to me. He may to have to join a new party with Ahnuld.

Show me what I've ever posted that labels me a "hardcore supporter" of Obama - or anybody. You missed the light sarcasm, re whether Obama is a creationist.

Why would I NOT like knowing where EITHER candidate stands?

You should also remember that Obama had his pastor as a very visible CAMPAIGN ADVISOR. At least until the news broke that his pastor hates whitey and blames the government for 9/11.

Prior to his pastor blowing it big time at the press conference, probably because he was hyped up and in an unreasonable state of mind as he gave what were pretty much his parting words at the end of his carreer, his earlier sermons need to be analyzed and evaluated in a MUCH broader context than that percieved as useful for sound bytes applied to the benefit of the political opponent. It's EASY to peg the guy as a racist by not looking at the overall context of his carreer and the changing sociology of the times he preached in and/or referred to. He's a bright guy who's words are worthy of analysis by scholarly types but are also unfortunately too, too easy to be misappropriated by his foes and inserted into a context which has nothing to do whith what he originally said and why he said it. Nothing is simple, excepting the lazy minds eager to jump on interpretations of what was said that are inserted into an easily grasped statement supporting his detractors.

Suddenly, BO isn't so religious anymore, and maybe he slept through all of the pastor's sermons for the last 20 years. Amazing how people and the media seem to forget such things.

And you naively believe that the guys sermons were ALL about what the sermon that was used in the news was about? Do you find it so incredibly easy to ignore all other accomplishments of the guy and his flock of parishoners? There were many, if you gave the effort to loolk into it.

Suddenly Obama isn't religious anymore? Uh....I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall. I quit. Hope your happy with the outcome of the election.

So you don't know the stance of any of the candidates regarding seperation of church and state, but you just know that Obama is better?

Feel free to present Obama's pastor as some intellectually elite individual, the likes of which a lowly KS fool such as myself cannot comprehend. He preached that white people were solely responsible for the woes of the black community, as well as 9/11. That's just a start, but enough for me to label him as a hateful racist, irregardless of the context. I'm glad they made a difference in the black community, but that doesn't change the message.

Notice how much you heard about Obama's pastor and church at the start of the election season? Notice how it's not even mentioned now? No, I guess you didn't.

So how do you propose she should have enforced abstinence on her daughter?

You've been an Obama ballwasher since day one. Not only Obama, but any other leftist dillwick that comes down the pike.

Since you brought it up, care to enlighten us on some of the achivements of that racist, America hating, POS preacher? The rest of his sermons could be about Little Bo Peep. I heard enough to call a spade a spade, and a racist negro, a racist negro.

Jindal is my governor. Care to enlighten me about him? I like Jindal but I bet he doesn't have an 80% approval rating.

Ms. Palin has a very radical belief system.

- for example, her Christian beliefs are -- um - shall we say "unusually strong"
- her association with, and possibly Membership in, the fringe Alaskan Independence Party calls into question her dedication to the US as a nation
