What is your favorite shop tool?
Of all your hand tools or shop tools, what is you favorite, most indispensible tool that you couldnt live without?
Mine are my die grinders. Two of my most used tools. Everything from cutting off rusted parts and bolts, cleaning gasket surfaces, to fiberglass work. Id be lost without these. The scotchbrite pads for these are one the greatest inventions ever! ![]()

Checkbook, of course. Although I can't tell you the last time it saw action as a shop tool. Possibly never on my current 911.

My metric ratchet wrenches with swivel box ends. Those tools are worth their weight in gold for working on P-cars.

are yours the gearwrench brand? have quite a few gearwrench sets now (std., shorty, flex head) and the flex head are the coolest yet. always wait for a good 50% off sale (or close to that) at Sears to buy. really fantastic tools.

Amateurs. Those all look like nice, clean, decent, properly used "fixin" tools.
The best tool is the other one...the loud, dangerous, dirty, sparky, "breakin" tool. ![]()

Easy one for me: SAWZALL! Although I get more use out of my lowly little Dremel tool than anything else in my shop.

1/4 inch drive 10mm socket. It may seem like a simple tool, but without it there would be a lot of projects that never get off the ground.
