How Michelle Lost the Election

Interesting article with some great writing in the Asian Times.

How Obama Lost the Election

This was written by a guy who contends that Obama is...

"the most gifted persuader of individuals that I have encountered in any country's politics, as well as a powerful orator on the grand stage. "

and

"McCain doesn't have a tenth of Obama's synaptic fire-power, but he is a nasty old sailor who knows when to come about for a broadside."

He puts some of the blame on Michelle for vetoing Hillary as a running mate.

Read the whole thing. Very interesting, good writer.

McCain's choice of vice presidential candidate made obvious after the fact what the party professionals felt in their fingertips at the stadium extravaganza yesterday: rejecting Clinton in favor of the colorless, unpopular, tangle-tongued Washington perennial Joe Biden was a statement of weakness. McCain's selection was a statement of strength. America's voters will forgive many things in a politician, including sexual misconduct, but they will not forgive weakness.

I don't think there are many, even Obama supporters, who would really disagree about the Biden thing. That was a horrible pick and was a tremendous sign of weakness by Obama.

There was a German guy about 60 or so years ago who I think was a tad better.

I think Obama's deliberate refusal to tap Hillary Clinton as a running mate is a positive testimony to his sense of self-preservation and mortal survival rather than any statement of weakness.

If he'd picked Hillary and won the election, he'd have mysteriously ended up dead within a year. No doubt in my mind.

Obama stiffed Hillary as a running mate, then turned around and let the Clintons take over the convention. If you're going to kick those two to the curb, don't let them pop back up again in prime time!

That was a sign of weakness and insecurity and qoute "(the American People) can smell insecurity, and the convention stank of it" unqoute!

His selection of Biden was a non-event. His speech was monotonous and uninspiring. We turned it off about halfway through. The stench of death was already in the air before the One's styrofoam columns came down and before McCain dropped his bomb.

This is the first campaign Obama has had to run to the end. In his election to the state senate and U.S. Senate, he was able to get his opponent elminated (thrown off the ballot or quit the race) before election day.

Expect rookie mistakes, this is his first real campaign.

I concur. Except that he'd have made it just past the halfway mark of his first term. That way Hildabeast would have been allowed to run for two more terms.

Unlike Hillary, if he loses this one I think he will be kicked to the curb, never try it again like some other Democrats.
Hillary wouldn't let him breath after a loss here.

If Hilary was the nominee, she would be pulling ahead with a comfortable margin.

I put in another post that Biden was a loser - and he very much is.

He was a last minute gut reaction to what was going on with Russia and Georgia this summer. But otherwise is a drag on the campaign and the central message of change.

Yes. I am starting to wonder what will become of the One once he becomes the Zero. Am guessing he consolidates his 'career' in Chicago and goes back to 'community organizing'.

Eleanor Clift said that when she and her buddies in the newsroom heard that McCain chose Sarah Palin as a running mate, there was literally laughter.

I felt the same way when Bam Bam chose Biden. Are you freakin' kidding me?!?

That doesn't send a very strong message of "hope and change". That sends the message, "I think we'll go with business as usual."

She's the epitome of liberal elite. I don't understand why she's famous. She looks like a man, says and write nothing that inspires independent or critical thinking and she's a knee-jerk lefty. She's the female version of E.J. Dionne.

Yeah, kinda like fire-ants, or an unwanted family member...

Where he should have gone, Gov of Illinois.

She's more like a male version of EJ Dionne.

Pundits would have more credibility if they'd mix in some objectivity. I like reading Camille Paglia, and sometimes Morton Kondracke and William Rasberry (sadly retired in 2005) because they don't just knee-jerk for the left every single article.

George Will, Bob Novak and William Saffire will also criticize the GOP when they deserve it.

It's why I don't really like David Limbaugh or Eleanor Clift - it's all criticism, all the time.

I don't think Elanor and her buddies are laughing anymore. Little tears flowing down their cheeks.
the Obama man is getting short of money, it will get worse.
