Interesting find!

This car is at the intersection of 9 and Cty Route 28 near Valatie, NY (near Albany). I was drivng by and saw it parked on the side of the road in a parking area where they put cars to sell. I have no dog in this hunt, just found it interesting. Never seen the car at Limerock or any other track. Car might be worth it for parts but no idea if it runs.

Anybody ever see it in the Albany area??

Looks reasonably nice, but I'd be very, very, very, very, very, very, VERY leery of buying any car from the northeast. I can guarantee there are rust issues - possibly very severe ones - that are not shown there.

I grew up in the northeast so I've been through this several times. Cars simply do not last out there. Not at all. But it might be a good project if it were checked out carefully and thoroughly and the exact amount of work necessary to restore it determined ahead of time.

I highly disagree with that statement, and have experienced the opposite twice now. I don't think I will buy another east coast 911 without some thorough thorough analysis. Don't count on galvanizing saving a 76 and newer cars or you will be bitten.

Just one example of MANY:

+1

Seen many examples of rusty galvanized-era 911s, as well as 944s and 928s, for that matter. The variable set is too unpredictable. Anything from the rust belt merits a thorough PPI.

as i said cars that were NOT hit...82 up is much better though
911's are not cars to me...(not a fan)
944's are NEVER rusty..unless hit or battery acid ruins the spot it sits on

I didn't post it to start an argument! I thought it might be interesting if someone wanted to look at it, I'm not going to buy it, I have enough problems to deal with w/o another car.

My son lives close by and may get some additional pics that I will post when available. If it could be had for 7 grand or so and checked for rust and a PPI it might not be a bad opportunity. Didn't know if it belongs to a local Pelican.

From the pics, it does look a bit rough, but it might be a good candidate for a track beast, or even a nice street lightweight if it's rust-free. If I were in the market for an SC, I would certainly give it a look. Last of the SC's (assuming the 83 on the windshield refers to the year), and the cleaner lines from the deleted options makes it even more appealing. At the very least, it appears to have the sunroof, radio (no antenna), and fog lights deleted. It would be even better if the windows were manual and the car didn't have A/C. That front valance is pretty hard to find these days too. The wheels, seats, and sugar scoops would have to go though.

The adjacent van has the same phone number, so be careful as you may not be shopping from a private party. Of course, always the possibility a family is selling 2 vehicles.

While it's a site that looks like it was made by a 10-year-old, and certainly has the grammar and spelling of it (mustle? garenteed? invantory? bisness? yikes) they do specify that they specialize in project cars.

LOL! Bad english doesn't instill confidence in me, but for the right deal it wouldn't matter.

So that "mustle car" soccer-mobile must have the 426 hemi in it?

It does have the recaro's (black fabric, orange center) but the bolster on the driver's side is pretty bad. It also has the RS tail, different from the Carrera flat tail. Don't know if it was glass or metal, I should have checked it out more closely.

I should call them and ask if it runs.
