911 Cab Owner Keyed my Honda Pilot!

Went to Lowes today - parked next to a newish (2005+) cab. I was close but not out of my space. I could open my door fime without hitting his.

Our Son and I come out and the cab is gone but there is a nice scratch below the driverside window of our Piolt. It was keyed. I asked our Son if this was there before and he said, "Dad, this just came back from the shop last week. We haven't had time to scratch it." He was right. That door did not have a scratch on it when we went into the store but it did when we came out.

This is a small town and there are not many black cabs running around. I will 'bump' into this guy/girl at some time in the future. The question is if I will be in a good mood or bad...

What a prick. Next time, make sure he has to have a can opener get his car out. I wonder if this is the effort of an anti sierra clubber in response to the hummer incidents.

Matt, I saw that old man on the news - that old prick going around keying Hummers because they have a big carbon footprint. Well, the foot print just got bigger with all those Hummers having to go to the body shop and get touch-ups done. Last I knew, few paint shops scrub the fumes - more hydrocarbons into the air. Well done ya jackoff...

Hey Mike,

Bummer.

Was at Lowes myself this morning.

I'll keep an eye out for the Black Cab.

NO.NO.NO!!! Then his insurance would cover painting the whole car!

Better to key every other panel (insurance usually only covers repainting of the damaged areas) to produce a checkerboard when time yields the color difference between the new and old paint.

But........you don't KNOW that the cab driver did the dirty deed. Coulda been some punk ambling by your bigazz Suv who did it.

Bottom line - ya shoulda parked centered in yer space, no?

Lowes and all other large stores have cameras in their lots. Go to the police as well as the Lowes store. Lowes store may be more productive. Find proof it was the owner of the black cab. If it was the owner, take it from there with legal means.

You have to do this ASAP before their videos are deleted.

Doesn't seem like something a Porsche owner, (or owner of any nice car), would do. But who knows? Sucks either way.

I recently worked on a job with a really nice guy who had a late-model Dodge hemi PU truck that someone keyed on every single panel! I mean, someone took the time to walk around the truck and scratch every body panel including the hood. Worst I've ever seen. He told me that he suspects his daughter's ex-BF, but doesn't know for sure. He's a handsome Mexican guy, so I suspect that she is just smokin'. He probably either ran the guy off, or(?)

Another buddy of mine has a new 335i BMW that got keyed on rear 1/4, half the car will need to be painted. And it's silver. It will never be right again. That is just the most dickless crime, to quote Pulp Fiction. Sorry to hear it.

Wasn't me......

As a cab owner, i revenge that I would hate the most is a hole on my top. I am sure there is some nice acid that would eat a few holes over the drivers seat enough to make you nuts...

What am I doing adding to this angry behavior. I do not live in Jersey anymore..

Luis, the other guy is kidding. Questionable joke, but pretty obvious.

I once had someone key my WRX Sti - wrote across the hood and keyed just about every panel except the roof.

Insurance took one look and agreed to a total respray - and it ended up with a better finish than the original factory one.

Can't say I was happy at the time when it happened but it all ended up working in my favour.

Worst keying of my life was about two months after buying our first ever brand new car.
Wife and I walked out of the house to gather the kids from the front yard and go to Grandma's; on the car we find what looks like a smiley face on the drivers door and scratches all over both sides.
I'm pissed until we call the kids over, what we see is our barely walking daughter with a huge smile of pride and set of toy keys. You just can't be mad at something so cute

Your situation however would end much differently.
