"now rick there is a very good point about class 3's. if dumbass bimbette at local bank is held up............and mistakenly ID's "he had a silencer", "he had a little machine gun"................
GUESS ******* WHAT???? yer gonna get a visit real fast/real soon............and you and i could be in the sack with our old ladies, AND THEY IS COMING THRU THE DOOR and THEY AINT KNOCKING, looking for that "silencer" or that "little machine gun". having class 3's you will sooner or later get a visit. 4 sticks of dynamite found yesterday just up the street from me. "dickies dogs"(weiner joint in snobbsdale) has been BOMBED TWICE NOW! owner of dickies dogs(dick??) obviously has pissed the wrong people off selling hot dogs. "DICK?" comes home yesterday, finds 4-sticks of what appeared to be dyno-mite in backyard. "DICK?" calls cops. first mistake. cops arrive along with bomb squad, ATF BOMB SQUAD, and 4 freeking helos over my house for about an hour and a 1/2 while son and i moving bikes and placing on stands in rebuilt/remodeled building. what a pain in da arse. traffic screwed up everywhere, 32 homes evacuated along with target store and a cvs pharmacy. they were a GAG GIFT JOKE desk clock you buy in laugh/joke/har-har/fun store!!!!!! "DICK?" got to meet all sorts of new and "interesting" people in unmarked cars wearing foster grant sunglasses. basically you go class 3 anything , you give up your "castle" rights to the feds. |
Sounds like a real hoot living in your neighborhood!
I agree w/ Rick though - getting a Class III and in general the more stuff you've got "on the books" means you move up the list in terms of who gets their door kicked in by the Amerikan Gestapo first when the stuff hits the fan. The stuff I have is good enough to defend me/my interests from roving bands of zombie hordes or the occasional scumbag burglar. I'm not planning on going toe-to-toe with the military or anything - there's a "fine line" between getting the best I can get and getting stuff SO good it puts me "on the radar" more than I'm willing to be. |
thats why "stepping up" to class 3 has me wondering. class 3's are best.............WHEN ITS YER FRIENDS!
no headaches. |
I totally fail to see the importance of full auto guns for home defense during times of civil unrest. They are nothing but toys. It's like owning a Ferrari. After the cost of entry, you can keep it in your garage or gun safe, but as soon as you want to use it, get your wallet out. I remember watching a guy at the range with a real Tommy gun. This was in 2001 when ammo was not real expensive. I was at the cash register and asked if that guy had bought his ammo at that store. The woman replied, "Yeah, he's got about $1500 worth through there so far today". You literally cannot burn a $20 bill with a lighter as fast as you can burn $20 worth of ammo in a class III gun. Besides, a real civil unrest situation would not see battlefield formations of heavily armed troops. Especially where Charles and I live, a trusty and accurate rifle and a sidearm would suffice just fine, as long as you have lots of ammo and know what you're doing. No chance would the marauding mobs make it this far north of Phoenix anyway.

Your "expectations" about situations that do, or could, arise when owning Class 3 items is completely inconsistent with what I have heard. In fact, I have heard that owning something like a suppressor, will help to get you an excellent police investigation if your home happens to be burglarized, or your car is stolen, and your suppressor ends up being stolen during the theft. (Most home burglaries and auto thefts receive little to no investigation in most jurisdictions; police just take the report and file it away.) I don't know what you are basing your comments on, but it doesn't sound like it is on any experience with Class 3 items, or discussions with those who have owned them for decades. |
