Gas @ 2.99 in Michigan/Think it'll be down to $2.00?
Here in my town the gas stations are all at 2.99 as of 5:30 tonight.
Strange enough, in Saginaw, just 35 miles north, it's still up around 3.45. Do you guys think it will get back down to $2.00 a gallon by the end of the year?

It doesn't go down as fast as it goes up. So technically it should already be like $2.50 or less. But of course it isn't. Lansing is still around $3.40. Of course, I did find lots of houses in Flint and Detroit for about $15k.

A little town near here is 2.86. Will we see 2.00 ever again? I HIGHLY doubt it, but then again I never thought it would get under 3.00 again. It's called greed, the oil companies are posting their highest profits ever.

Well we were paying the most for gas in the country here in NC, 3.90+/gallon and more than a few at over $4, but it's finally starting to come down. Maybe houston/galveston/port Aurther's finally back up to full steam?

I just paid $3.65 for premium unleaded and my wife just paid $3.45 for the same at the local Meijer. Too bad my 401(k) is down almost 50%!

Just paid $2.93 in NJ this morning. I dont think we will ever see $2.00 again.
I would be happy just to see diesel lower than regular, like it always was.

They could give it away for free and I still wouldn't move there.
Don't get too used to it. Pretty soon our "friends" the Saudis will start curtailing production in order to drive the price up again - probably just in time for the holidays. That, plus rampant inflation will have gas prices up nice and high again in about a year or so.

It should really be closer to $2.50 - If the oil companies report record profits again I'm afraid an angry mob will form.

Regular unleaded hit $5.00/gallon here for like an afternoon, it was the day Ike hit. It was weird, one station would be at $5, and the one across the street would still be at $3.65. Gouging? I don't think anyone bought much of the $5 gas that day. It was all back down the next day.
