Welcome to the club Jim. Your lucky you live in the south. Try having the windows open in the car when it's friggin' 20F. Hot, cold, hot, cold, colder, hot, cold, extremely hot. Soaking wet night sweats, dry vagina. Damn near have to feel sorry for them. The ex only got weepy I was lucky.
Look on the bright side, you only have 4-7 years of it. SmileWavy

The guy ended up dying of hypothermia in the back of her pickup truck as he got stinking drunk and refused to get in the cab of the truck during the rain as they were driving to Florida.

In both cases the women's personalities changed forever.

Craziest post of the year.

my god this is sobering to read.

This thread is really making me regret my conscious decision to never, ever, ever get married.

She arrives home and is ice cold and beyotchy...flips the Lifetime channel on and absolutely ignores me. I end up in the man cave (garage) with my new 9' wide projection screen surfing soft porn on late nite cable at 2:00 a.m.

This sucks.

Your perspective is just whacked. Nothing sucks about how you spent last night.

And the upside? You didn't even have to talk to her... ;)

This thread is vidication that i have indeed made the right choices in life with regard to women. Would it be rubbing it in to state outright that i have been openly giggling at virtually every post in this thread?

PMS, menopause, the change; call it what you want. It doesn't exist, it never has, it never will. "And don't you ever, ever say that to me again or so help me God..."

Only thing that concerned me was I woke up and my Johnson was orange....' guess I gotta cut down on eating Cheeto's while watchin soft porn;)

So I didn't talk to her much the following day....I acted unruffled but not overly comversant. She comes home last night and threw that cat on me like an 18 y.o. nymphomaniac. Didn't go to sleep until 6 a.m. Shhhheeesssshhhh. Not complaining, but.....

Guess I need to remember the sage advice of an old mentor: "WOMEN....foch 'em."

m21sniper 05-31-2009 05:25 PM

LOL, there you go man. You got to watch porn all night on a screen fit for kings, then still get your funky groove on the next night, and you STILL didn't have to talk to her.

As with most things in life, it's all a matter of perspective brother. ;)

HardDrive 05-31-2009 06:17 PM

Huh.

Well my dad and step-mom are in their 60s, and while my dad would never say anything explicit, he has indicated that they still have a decent sex life.

onewhippedpuppy 05-31-2009 06:39 PM

Of all the things I DON'T want to hear from my parents......

vash 06-01-2009 05:54 AM

great. just great.

isnt there a milder version we fellas go thru? Men-apause?

getting old just sucks. i had an old man tell me once, "the problem isnt that life is too short, sometimes it is too long". man was 85, and alone and sad.

Women have periods because they deserve it. Then years later, comes the pause, by this time in their lives they REALLY deserve it. Remember the old Irish saying lads, "their all whores....'cept me sainted mother!"

Can women go through the "change" at 35, cause a whole lot of this applies to my spouse.

This is known as perimenopause...can happen to women in their 30's.

The big question: Real, imagined or just another excuse to be a beyotch?

Hate to resurrect this depressing thread, but I need you guys to please give some of your improoved situations, if any. I need some hope.

After some stable times bat chit crazy is setting in:eek:

My real life experience...

Wife started menopause early and still going thru it @ 46.

We still have a very active sex life.

I also work with several women who are going thru the change...

Wife and co-workers get the hot flashes and are sometimes moody (something I always mark up to just being a woman) but not insane... he11 some of the men I work with are more whack jobs that the middle age women.

For that matter some of the male posters here are more moody that my wife! :p

And some of my middle age male friends have not aged well... drugs, alcohol, unemployed... not always a gender thing.

YMMV

Hope? Your post from '09 about being hot to trot while out at dinner, then cold and distant when getting home pretty much described my last marriage. Had nothing to do with menopause. What improved my situation? Umm, divorce, followed by a string of women who actually were interested in sex.

Current g/f of nearly 3 years is 41 and pretty balanced. Hoping that the change might be reasonable with her...
