LiVing in a Ghost Town.

Since the great RE crash back in 06 there are 10,000 people less LiVing in my town. Before ya know it this is gona be a ghost town, where only memories remain never to be taken home. This place is just gona dry up and blow away.

Pay top dollar for a new house in a desert town overrun by gangs and lack of water? How could have ever predicted this?

So Las Vegas didn't turn out to be the new Beverly Hills after all.

I read on The Drudge Report that whole city blocks are on the foreclosure auction list at once!
Hay if it’s on the Internet, it’s gotta be true...

Cheer up Tabby...if 10,000 people left this town, it would be a ghost town.

Tabs,

As long as the buffet's and hookers stay, it will work out!

Wow! Now that I understand...I paid nearly that for a small condo style motel room (full sized fridge, 3 burner stove & oven, kind of a mini kitchen) with one queen and a pull down bed @ the Oregon coast recently...stayed 3 days, watching a pool tournament. Oh, I could see the ocean from the unit's patio door...the Pacific is still big & wet.

Jim Cramer (and everyone else with a shred of common sense) has been saying for months to short the big Vegas casino chains. They're in for a world of hurt in the coming months/years not to mention being steadily undercut by more and more Indian gaming places sprouting up all over the landscape...

I just finished a T.I. job for one of the new buildings going into the City Center Harmon Hotel (the one by Norman Foster's office). I suspect the client is going to lose their ass on that one (as will the overall developer of City Center, in it now for something like $8.2B), but at least we got the job before this whole economy went "kaboom".

Another job we had (for a night club remodel at the Venetian) just imploded. Dunno if we're going to get paid for that one or not. Bad times for a society built on high-rollers who love to toss money around. When there's no money to toss around, the collapse is predictable.
