Sometimes you find the most random things

Floating around the bay (Tampa Bay, in this case)

People stick stuff on their dock - and it get's blown into the water. Sometimes it's trash - sometimes like yesterday - we found a boat cushion, throwable type, an almost full 1.5 litre wine bottle (just the neck above the water). An anchor (12.5lb type) only the line was floating. And a coconut. Over the years I've found a dingy, a mast from a sailboat. several coolers, all kinds of pool toys (noodles, rafts, etc). Probably the strangest was a 19 year old dude that fell off his kayak about 3 years ago.... He was grateful.

Sorry, only have a pic of the Coconut

Nothing would surprise me floating around in Tampa Bay. My college roommate's parents live in Apollo Beach. A bunch of us went out to "Paradise Island" one night and had a horrific storm come blowing in. It was quite the adventure. We're all lucky that we weren't floating out in the bay.

Wow, the guy had been waiting for someone to pick him up for 3 years? I'm surprised he could doggie paddle that long. He must have been very pruney and had some serious shrinkage.

I doubt that coconut fell off someone's dock. It was probably carried there by a swallow.

After storms here I find the most eclectic assortment of human flotsam and jetsam imaginable.

1500 feet of beach on a south facing shore helps with the roundup
