For some reasons the holidays seem to be a focal point of all the tings we don't have or that make us hurt. I am no different. My mom passed away just a couple of weeks ago, and that makes this year a very hard one. It even kinda tempers all the good things. I am trying to focus on those. My Baby is home for the holidays, the grandson is here, and even through all of that joy, there is a sadness that runs just under the surface. It is going to be fun watching the cats undecorate the tree after the morning passes, and the wife lets her guard down, but I don't like the holidays this year. There are other things that are bringing me down but Ya'll get the point.
Merry Christmas. (that was not sarcasm)

well, i worked from 6 pm on christmas eve until 6.30 am on christmas. then i slept most of the day. afterwards, i gave my wife a gift and we spent the day relaxing at home, with the phone turned off.

mine was a good christmas. a little beer, a little wine, and good company.

Sorry to hear about your mom Rick V. My mom passed away a couple of Christmas ago. I know the feeling. The only thing that I can tell you is that time will heal some of the grief.

With the economy the way it is my wife asked me is this the worst Christmas the kids will have since we weren't able to give them everything that they were hoping to get. I told her that the worst Christmas for the kids will be the Christmas when one of us is no longer around to celebrate with them.
