You have to admit though that the Chris Craft dashboard and steering wheel look is a nice touch.

I would never use the word "tranny" in a car ad.
However, that is a SWEET wooden dash!

Hey, remember: the AC Ace was "nothing" until C.S. had a dream (although a larger engine)...A little over the top on this car, but if that's what floats his boat. I did some "strange" swaps also: Crown mid-engine SBC in a Corvair, Hardy/Beck SBC in a Vega, Vega engine went to a Bug-Eye Sprite. My engine bays did not look that clean, but man, did I learn alot and have loads of fun. Saw plenty of the larger Austin-Healey's in the 70's with Ford 289-302's running autocross.

Huh? They looked matched to me except for the continuation of the stripe.

I'd like to challenge the naysayers to show us what they have done that is better. It's not exactly my cup of tea but it looks well done and I can see how that would be a fun car to build, own, and drive.

I've done some over-the-top modifications to vehicles in my time. I like to turbocharge things that weren't originally intended to be turbocharged and put bigger engines in small cars.
One thing I learned, the ones who criticized the loudest typically have trouble figuring out which end of a crescent wrench to hold onto.

The aluminum V8 is a pretty common swap on those cars - the Buick/Olds 215 became the Rover V8.

That car is fine - minus the cowl hood. What is most laughable is the asking price.

That's the only reason I found the ad in the first place.

I agree that the car is done well, but it just seemed like A LOT of trouble to end up with a 140 HP Buick V6, that's all.

I'm sorry, Sammy. I didn't know it was your car.

I would've gone with a V8 instead of that V6.
