need speed shop for LQ9 engine

Anyone know of a speed shop in SF Bay Area that could tune an LQ9 engine with drive by wire. We put this in my son's 69 Chevelle and it has a rough idle at stop, and seems this is not too unusual. So looking for someone to reprogram it to raise the idle. thanks

I'd think there'd still be an idle adjustment screw on the throttle body.

Yep. Very cold.

I think I'm going to go through two cycles of warming the truck before I drive home. (It only runs for 10 minutes if I start it with the remote start.)

So, is it programmed to keep the throttle open a little to control the idle then?

Have a second servo to open/close a separate idle passage seems like and inneficient design to me.

I looked it up. I have the 5.3. That is the 6.0. Same basic design though.

Rough idle? Not that I'd notice. This is the quietest vehicle I have ever owner. I can't hear the engine idling from inside the truck.

It has a lot to do with the exhaust too. I swear my truck has a muffler the size of a 30-gallon garbage can under the bed.

Did that come out of a corvette? The guy (or gal) up the street has one and it sounds a little rough. I just presumed the owner had modded to sound that way.

Have you checked all the plugs and wires?

Oh and BTW that is one of my favorite body styles...I HATE YOU!

The vacuum leak must have been on a hose to a sensor, right?

No, it was on the side of the air intake body up top where there was a plug just past the MAF. The rubber seal was twisted and we used an o-ring and it sealed it.

Too bad you can't read this Steve since I'm on your (restricted) list, but you need to have the ECM programed with a program like HPTuners.

There's no adjustment screw. Such a shame, looks like a nice car.
