And you will take them down on Monday. Just a guess from a great mind. hahaha.

How is it going Kathy?
Do you have an update on your situation?

I'm hoping it worked out for you!

I knew this was a woman half a sentence in.

Best is to ignore. No reply. I strongly recommend not to post any of it in the office. Do not even give a hint that this touched you in any way. People like this will not make friends in the long term. Not with their boss either. Usually they will be laid off or moved in the mid term. If you engage in their behavior, you will let yourself down to their level. Nobody wants such drama in their work place - a senior manager may choose to break up or eliminate the entire group of people that does not get along.

This is a personal attack and IMO very inappropriate. I would take it up with your direct supervisor and demand a sit down.

Vroomgrl, I suspect that her memo could constitute harassment. Yes? No?

i can relate. im an attorney too. while ive never received anything as harshly nasty as that, ive received some really really crappy ones. usually, i respond by getting up, going outside, having a smoke. i then curse the person that wrote it and wish cancer upon them...seriously :-)

i dont know what else to say. i know in my own experience that the writings that i have had harshly criticized were in my opinion, far better than anything ive read of his........working for other attorneys can be a sickening experience....excluding myself of course, i find many to be extremely arrogant, egotistical, anal, boring, close-minded and just plain old mean

i think the only way to be happy is to work for yourself. until that time, take pride in what you do and be the better person. go ask him/her to have a discussion...you need a sit-down...stay calm...its only a job $$$... until something better comes along, stay calm

I got a somewhat similar note from my male boss last week in response to my weekly report. He complained that my reports were too informal and conversational and needed to be written in a formal business tone. Then he sent me his edited version of what I sent him. I didn't bother asking if he wanted me to include his spelling and grammatical errors in my next report. It's especially insulting when someone complains about something, tries to improve it and really makes it worse.

I need to go back and see the rest of the replies (thank you!). I've been away, party real busy with work, and the rest having a little fun. WORK HARD, PLAY HARD is one of my favorite mottos Got all involved with a virtual 24 hours of Daytona charity fundraiser with some local driver/sim-racer-geeks and it was a blast! Came home with my computer loaded up with new sim stuff and um, well, it's fun! And a total time-suck.

Biotch continues to make crazy demands and send stupid emails. Then she goes all Sybill on the phone and is completely solicitous and drippy sweet. PUKE.

I did not send any reply to the email, nor have I mentioned it in any subsequent conversation. My immediate supervisor received a copy of the original. I have removed the posters from my wall My plan is to deal with the underlying issues (most of which have nothing to do with my actual work) and just file all this petty crap away for possible later use.

Seduce her husband? Now there's an idea. But there is no husband or significant other of any variety as far as anybody knows. Tell me how surprised you are!

holy cow you guys are a bunch of pansies!

maybe our girl did a crap job. has anyone considered that? she's getting paid to do work and you all think the person in charge of reviewing her work has no right to call b.s.?

guess if it's not your money paying her salary it doesn't matter.

and btw if any of my staff responded to me with something like 'my work speaks for itself. so does yours' they would be shown the door immediately.

amongst all the horrible responses i see in this thread here's a good one.

If you acted like the boss in this thread it's likely they'd find the door for themselves...

BTW, nice job attacking the thread starter when you have 0 evidence she did anything wrong.

if someone is calling out a subordinate in that way, the calling out should be at a minimum error free

and there are more constructive ways to persuade an employee than to call them out that way. good luck!
