Now THAT's a thought. Except how do I get past the two DUI's, one DUI refusal, possession of pot/paraphenalia charge, one never has had a job in his entire life (lives off of mom), stay in the woods hunting all the time, refuse to pick them up at the house, no goals/dreams, only do what they want to do, etc shared between the two of them. Lemme think? |

Holy crap, dueller. You weren't kidding when you said losers. But there is nothing you can do. Negativity breeds contempt, to steal a phrase. Hormones are on overdrive & they really truly think that they are adults & therefore know exactly what's best for THEM right NOW. We are merely old & out-of-it parental units & we just don't get it.
A local college (the $ saving kind) would mean another year of mania for you, but I am almost positive that your wife is secretly pulling for it, as much as you are dreading it. That's just the way it is. Some mothers - especially one's that have been solo - really hate to let the strings loose. I have one here that I am tending. So hunker down & be supportive. Good luck. Honestly, I could write a negative story or a positive story about almost everything in my life; my OWN son included...... he makes it hard to find the positive (25), trust me; but I choose to write the positive story.

Ya know...its really amusing when step back from it. They came home tonite after theri big 18 weekend and what do they want to do for dinner? Go to Gattitown Pizza (sorta like Check e. Cheese...arcade games etc.). We all had a ball acting like 9 y.o.'s at a birthday party.
At one and the same time they wanna be grown but don't wanna let go of their childhood. Ahhh, youth....wasted on the young
