The twin stepdtrs are 18 today...WOOOOHOOOO!!!!

Ahhhh...to be 18 and know everything. Oh well, 4 more months and they'll be outta high school and heading of to college.

Or so I thought. Now they're thinking about their 1st year at the community college to save money. WTF...thot I'd be rid of the room monkeys (imcarthur's term).

I mentioned in another thread that my new attitude is I don't get, nor do I want a vote, on matters concerning them. Unless it affects my relationship with their mom or my quiet enjoyment of my home, I ain't intersted.

Has worked out well...and thanks top you guys who've shared your experiences. So for now I just sit back and enjoy their antics from a distance. And hopefully you won't find me back in here whining.

18 going on 29:

Send 'em to Oxford, I think they would fit right in.

And to me, the whole "first year at CC to save money" is a dangerous path. In reality, most times people are afraid to move on from high school, they want to keep hanging out with hs friends/boyfriends and are afraid of new experiences. Nothing better to move on to something else where you don't know anyone and are forced to make it on your own. Opens up your eyes and makes you appreciate the real friends from home as well.

Now that they are 18 I can finally be alright with looking at the pics you post. Goodstuff.

I used to go out with a twin when I was about 15. They played an "idential twin" trick on me but I was one step ahead of their game. I don't think they ever figured out I won the game.

You've posted pics of these beauties before. Every time you do, I just shake my head while feeling sorry for you.

When I was 19, I'd have been beating your door down...

Happy Birthday to your step daughters.

Crack open a bottle of good wine and enjoy the moment. Did you ever fix the Touring?

Happy 18th Birthday to both of them!

Let's just hope their boyfriends aren't celebrating the same event for anything other than genuine happiness for the girls!

HB to them & congrats to you dueller. You made it this far. Believe me that there is light at the end of the tunnel. We have been Room Monkeyless since November 1st. Ahhh . . .

It's even enjoyable when the ex-RMs come for dinner now. I am taking GREAT delight in hearing about their tales of cleaning & shopping & cooking - all the things they took for granted. Karma swings around.

ABSOLUTELY!

Which is why he should have let someone else do the talking for him...

But seriously, congrats on surviving step-parenthood Dueller. Having watched a good friend struggle with it and having been on the receiving end myself I know it isn't easy.

hmmm lets see....
I am think Dueller lives fairly close to Jackson...So fly into town for the weekend...go out to a nice restuarant with the two of them...of course. And then respectfully stare at them the whole complete time.

god they are beautiful.
I am 21, they are fair game
