Monday night drinking thread.

Well, it's monday.

I have little responsibilities tomorrow.

I'm 4 deep into a Mickey's Malt Liquor 6 pack. I've also finished up a Baccardi (sp?) Mojito sixxer. I felt ashemed buying such a drink but they were good.

Mickey's is 4.80 a six here at a gas station that is only 150 meters away from my house. I'm going through this stuff like 'carter has liver pills'.

That saying didn't work so well in that sentece. sentance. sentence. there it is.

my friends are suggesting I may have a problem. I say no.

Opinions?

Pelican OT GOO!

If you are drinking malt liquor, you have a problem.

Four deep and you think you have a problem? Get a bottle of real spirits and call me when you see the bottom

+1 on the malt liquor being a problem in itself though

5 deep + six of those pansy baccardi drinks.

Yea I know the volume is meager. i've done much worse.

I have been doing this every night for a week though. That doesn't bother me; but my friends act worried. I say screw em.

I recently got a new job. I'm teaching part time while taking classes the other part. Life is pretty good for the most part. For some reason this equals more booze!

That and mickey's is 4.80 a six. I mean, I can't afford NOT to buy it!

Past the driving here. I'm all for that.

I drink alot on weekdays but I can usually afford it. I usually have to work late afternoons, I have a grad class a 9:30 tomorrow that requires my presence..

woo this this stuff is hitting the spot.

There is a bar down the street that has $2.50 pitches of Coors Light on Tuesdays. I'm a regular for that. They also have those big deep fried shrimp for $2 for 10. It's awesome. I run a nice tab there.

Like I said.. I got it all within walking distance of my new house. It's nice. My rent could be cheaper but I'm not complaining.

Judging from the change in your sig and your new habits, is it safe to assume you have had a change in your employment status?

Keep some Tylenol by the bedside

Just finished a nice 2001 zin from a friend's winery. Listening to All Along The Watchtower, U2 version. Three chords, and the truth.

2 glasses into a box of Ernie & Julio box white wine, had the day off

Ran out of beer while some gear heads were over playing the game “Name the source of that oil leak under my 930”!
Fun game…hours of fun for everyone

Ahh Box wine. A neccesity at any hillbilly family reunion. My family totally included. I think there were like 5 boxes and a keg at my cousins wedding.

Heh heh. I remember box stands in college. Kinda like a keg stand, but with a Box 'o Wine, instead. Total class.

I haven't had box wine since I was about 14, on a river rafting trip. Terrible stuff, but easy to pack out.

Wine comes in a box?

Hmmm, just put two glasses of Penfolds Bin 28 down. Had a rough couple of weeks, I deserve it! Broke my "wine only on weekends" rule...... oh well.

Cheers

Most people do not have an alcohol problem. But if they practice hard, they can get one.

Slippery slope. We will trust you will know when it is time to get off the bus.
