family guy

is it just me or is the funniest show on tv??
I can't believe the stuff they get away with saying, while anyone else gets their careers ruined for saying 1/10th of what they say..
As twisted as everyone is on this board there must be some huge fans..

Agreed. Best show ever. Even better because my wife doesn't get the humor.

I don't find it funny in the least.

It's preachy and full of itself, and the jokes don't have a damn thing to do with the plot of the episodes.

there's no plot, it's overplayed, and just stupid.

i pretty much walk away from any conversation with a d-bag that involves the question: "dude, have you seen that episode of family guy, where....."

it's pretty funny how South Park rips on family guy for being a crap show.

The 'Stars Wars' episode was pretty crazy.

I don't go out of my way to watch the show.

My Retirement Grease

Can't stand it. Uses a sledgehammer instead of a scalpel, and usually, as noted above, with no context.

But it does serve as a constant reminder of the lasting brilliance of The Simpsons.

Not sophisticated enough for the crew here it seems. Personally, I think it's the funniest thing on TV. Can't stand S. Park. Was never able to hold my interest long enough to give it a chance I guess. Family Guy, oth, is fantastic.

Lighten up guys. As eloquently stated above...."it ain't Gone with the Wind".

lmao.

Seriously, you can see the great lengths that the writers have to stretch to get passed the FCC with their scripts. Pure genius if you ask me.

I agree. I love the Simpsons, I think it's one of the best shows ever, so subtle and clever in so many ways, with some of the wittiest social satire ever.

But Family Guy . . . no thanks.

Well as mentioned, it's no Simpsons, but FG is pretty damn funny. I will say it took me a long time to get into it. I hated it at first. but South Park just plain sux...

LOVE Family Guy. It makes me laugh so hard sometimes I hurt. I think as someone who grew up in New England, and someone who relates to a lot of the time-period specific jokes, it just slays me.

I am not that big a Simpsons fan, and I cannot stand South Park.

It's too obvious...nothing is hinted at, everything is explicit. Plus, they show it at 8pm or so, when kids want to watch. Ridiculous and shameful that the cable networks would run the show at that hour.

Not a big family guy fan. Now I love southpark. If you get past that unique crappy animation it is just friggin hilarious. No one is safe. They get a dig in at everyone at some point. Anyone see the "Pious" episode?

The South park that ripped on FG was hilarious.

I love south park- it comes on here at 11:00 (now) when there is nothing else to watch but news.
I'm cable/satellite free.

FG is great too.

Family Guy and American Dad are great shows.

I never got into South Park but what I have seen was pretty funny.

I thought for sure The Simpsons would have jumped the shark by now but the new shows seems tobe just as good as ever.

Family guy is too obvious, I won't say I haven't laughed because it has its moments but the wait between those moments is tough to take. it's a lot like an SNL cast movie that way.
