Question I added a mispelled word to my dictionary, how do I remove it?

Assuming Word 2007:

Click the Office icon in the upper left, select Word Options in the lower right of the pop up.
Select Proofing in the next window and click Custom Dictionaries|Edit Word List

Hope this is what you're looking for.

It is physically impossible. Now you have to create a description for said word and use it in everyday conversation. Soon it will become an internet phenomenon, like winnar and teh.

Back when I was young and foolish, I fixed my boss's automatic spell correction feature on his computer. Whenever he typed his full name, it would automatically change to "The Archbishop of Canterbury". I thought it was a grand joke, but apparently he didn't see the humor. How can you type your own name and not notice it change before your eyes? Sheesh!

It led to the IT guys spending a couple of days researching the Archbishop of Canterbury virus.

My method works for ANY program:

Go to Start-->Search-->All Files and Folders

Type in the offending word in the box labeled: "A word or phrase in the file"

It may take a while, but when the file is found, edit it with Notepad and search for the offending word in Notepad. Delete it and save the file.

I did something similar to a friend in high school. I edited his spellcheck in WordPerfect to always change the word "come" to "cum" and the name of his English teacher to "that crazy *****". He was really confused when he got called into the principals office. This was back when you had to run spellcheck after the fact. He would always make it do the changes without monitoring them.

That is absolutely terrible and in very poor taste. Heinous, I daresay.

You are my hero for today.

Gads, you're right! And why doesn't Firefox check titles? (good thing I didn't type titties)

OK, I'm gonna come clean here. I really didn't enter a misspelled word. I only want to delete the singular "i" if possible, so that whenever I fail to Capitalize the personal pronoun, it corrects me. I hope that's allowed, but it won't be the end if I can't do it.

Office 2003.

Why? It's COOL these days to not capitalize anything, especially not personal pronouns and names.

Don't you want to be COOL Milt?
