Typical of windows ??

Is this normal for windows?
Every window computer I have owned develops this deal once in awhile.
All of a sudden it will start opening window after window for no reason..you can not close them fast enough!
Finally I just have to pull the plug or rudely shut it DWN.
This happen to anyone else?

You have some kind of adware/spyware infection. Do the windows say anything? Can you open up taskmanger and see the name of the .exe its trying to kick off?

Speaking of adware, is Ad-Aware impossible to update now or is their site broken? I admit to always using the free version. They seem to have issues and all the FAQ's pertain to them, but even those don't work for me to get the updates.

Think they just want cash to make it all better?

time to clean.
Anti-virus and spy

wouldn't hurt to take it to a PC shop and have it cleaned.

Definitely not normal behavior. Do as HardDrive says and/or download and use HijackThis - you can get it (and help) here:
http://www.hijackthis.de/

Terry- AdAware SE is technically no longer supported. You can get the current defs here:
http://www.lavasoft.com/single/mirror_download.php?f=948DEWk12
but you have to install them yourself. Another useful link:

Is it possible you have a sticky keyboard holding a keystroke or something like that?

I would look to see if you have a sticky keyboard first. But, since you don't go to porn sites, we can rule that out.

Then, download, install and run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. If you have anything on your PC, this should identify it and, in most cases, clean it up.

I like Spybot Search & Destroy. Between that and AdAware, it seems to clean up pretty well.

This doesn't happen with Linux. Or Mac, for that matter.

I've had that happen with a keyboard that was shorting out. Replaced it and no more problems.

That's Windows, man; an exercise in an OS covering its own corporate ass.
