Grateful Dead - expert guitar player help

Hi - I know this is a shot in the dark, but can anyone help me out with the chords to "Heaven Help the Fool"? I've been trying to learn them for awhile and am making no progress. Thanks.

Have you tried playing it while stoned out of your melon? That may help

Yes! "Tab" in this case does not refer to chord progressions!

Good luck. Bob Weir invents his own chords.

lyrics are all over, not with chords though. and if the chords were posted somewhere, they would likely be wrong. gotta earball it for a while.

I'll never forget a Tommy Shannon (Double Trouble's bass player) quote about Stevie Ray Vaughan..."he never played it the same way once...much less twice" . I still miss Jerry and SRV...

sounds like my band, we never play it the same way once, not because we are that good either.

work out the bass line first, then chords. most likely a lot of inversions, IE C/G, a C with a G in the bass. this is where a little music theory come s in handy. when i played guitar at church, we had a lot of professional musicians in the band, my music director use to write the tab books you see in stores so i use to have to play a lot of these piano chords, they really sucked, twisted your fingers in knots, but i learned a lot. also had a lot of jazz style chords. when he first showed me E/G# i said ill just play something else, he said no, you gotta learn it, its used a lot. he was right, now it is nothing to play, and on accustic at that.

how much you willing to pay for the tab/ music. my friend makes his living through music and it would not be fair to ask him to tab it for free. he use to do the music books you see in the store. he is very good.
