Saving Grace
Anyone watch this show? Saw and ad for it and shows Grace skidding to a stop in a black 911. Wondering what year it is and I thought I heard her call it Elanore?

Saw a partial interior shot, looks like a 84-89 OEM Turbo Steering Wheel.

TNT's doing a give-away of a 1982 SC and saying its the same as the car on the show.

My wife started watching this - the car caught my eye. I think there was an episode where the car gets dinged and she takes it hard - some how finds one of the original owners - that might be when the name was introduced.

That car has been to TRE a few times. Actually it was put together there for the show. If I remember correctly, it's a 77 with a non-original motor. Something was very "frankenstein" about the car, but I can't remember what. Hopefully someone will chime in. I got to work at TRE a couple summers ago and got to drive this car. It's nothing special.

It's an early SC sunroof coupe with a turbo tail from the looks. I'm going mostly by the chrome headlight rings and early looking interior. The character on the show treats the car like crap but then that's one of the reasons I like it. She doesn't baby the car and drives it like it was meant to be driven and not just some show piece of jewelry.

The thing I like best about that car is that it's one driven hard, driven every day, driven every place. And it does it. Does it all. Makes me proud!
The car also suits Holly Hunter's quirky character, Grace. Compact, tough as hell and loyal as a good dog. angela

It's a good show... well written stories and the characters are very strong. Gritty. I watched a good many of the first season, but haven't caught any of the new ones. I don't know if it's out on DVD, but if it is, grab it so you can see the pilot and the ensuing episodes... otherwise the stuff with that gruff old guy as the angel who just pops up from time to time won't make much sense.

The 1st season is on DVD, I've rented it from Netflix. I don't usually catch the 2nd season on time as I work thise nights, but Comcast has it On Demand.
