Other thing to add is she may be pulling the trigger with a sideways motion. Try to press the trigger with the pad of the index finger and apply force straight backwards. Some people use the crook of the index finger's first joint, that can tend to cause the force to be backwards and sideways. If the trigger pull is heavy, like a DA revolver, it is hard to avoid using the crook. But on an auto loader you shouldn't have to.
