That sounds like a boss I had around '85. He was an ex running back from UCLA. He'd fight anyone who started crap with him or anyone riding with him and he was fast enough to catch them, car or bike

He even enforced his own smoking ban in restaurants .

Of course they weren't really fights considering there was usually only one punch.
