Jian Gomeshi is an obnoxious windbag. For that reason, I really enjoyed seeing BBT being rude to him. But he *was* being rude.

FWIW, Jian went on a US tour with his band in 2001, making anti-war speeches and concerts, then endlessly writing articles and doing interviews about it. Even when making points I agreed with, his condescending, self-important and smarmy attitude should have caused him to get a barstool busted across his teeth. He is an a$$.

wow thats (those) are some interesting perspectives. i nearly always come down on the side of the performer (artist) no matter what...even if i hate em. but i just didnt see anywhere where this interviewer, the listeners, and most importantly, his band mates, deserved this bullcrap. a recent interview with him, maybe in the last year, in GQ or some stupid ca ca mag, had a interesting interview with Keith in which he was asked so many stupid questions, yet rolled with it with good nature and cheer... and i just love when he was asked what he is listening to now and he said basically, "it all sucks except motorhead".. some people have class and brains. some people dont. BBT,.... your a dummy

BBT might dislike him for the reason listed in my last post. I would say this reporter has 1000 more such interviews coming to him.

john lennon, no matter how many times he was asked insulting questions about the woman he loved and called wife..... answered back with respect and thoughtfulness and acted, "the better man".... and that has ALOT to do with why some artists endure the ages and the cycles of taste and fashion

I heard on the radio that he got upset with the radio guy cause he introduced him as the Oscar winning (and other accolades) actor when Billy Bob specifically asked him not to mention his acting career. So in retaliation he messed with the radio guy and gave him no answers.
He wanted to be known in the interview only as a musician.

its not just the host that deserved respect (or maybe not) but also the listeners and most importantly, his band mates who have dedicated their time and effort to his cause to earn a buck for their families and themselves.

I really never liked BBT's work as an actor much anyway. I think Bad Santa is as close as i've come to liking one of his films.

if BBT had real issues about the host and he had no intention of doing anything productive for the band and crew, then at least bring it up....charlie rose style. he acted like a big baby and we all know it wasnt for the reasons you say. I worked with Billy Bob on 2 movies. At that time mushrooms and alcohol were his drugs of choice. Doesn't look like much has changed.

It sounded like the interviewer was trying to be gracious and polite. No attitude perceived. Don't know if BBT had any prior bone to pick with this guy, but he did a disservice to his fellow band members by coping such an attitude on behalf of the band.
