Looking for best place to sell tools

I have a HUGE inventory of new and used tools for sale.
I've thought about listing them on Craig's List. What I know about Craig's List is that every listing is only for that region. Is this correct?
I want to be able to sell my tools anywhere and everywhere.
I'm thinking about listing some on Ebay... items that aren't in as much demand...
I read the rules today about posting and there was NOT mention of listing items here....
I've just started taking pics today and getting it all ready, just not sure which avenue to take.
Any suggestions....

Needed something to haul crap with. Years ago a friend loaned me a Dodge P/U with the Cummings in it and I fell in love. Torque out the wazoo and gets 27 mpg on the highway.

Looks like I may be a ranch owner in the near future so needed a truck. The old Honda station-wagon found a new home and I got this!

I'd love to see your inventory before you go 'public'. How about a Pelican Pre-sale.

Where are you located?

I'm in Jonesboro (NE) Arkansas. I am looking at moving to Tyler, TX. I spent the past two weeks there... looking for a job... nothing yet.
I owned a tool store in '05. I have alot of sockets and wrenches and specialty tools.

I have a brand new Hobart Ironman 250 mig welder.
Northern Tools sells it for $1599. I would sell it for $1250 and that's below my cost on it!

I also have a brand new Hobart 235 AC/DC arc welder.
Norhtern sells it for $469. I'll take $350 and that's below cost too.

Yeah, you can buy the AC arc welders for $200 new anywhere but the DC option allows much more flexibility if you know anything about welding.

If it were me, I'd start with Craigslist then move to Ebay.

Maybe you could put together a list of items (brand, description, size, condition) and prices including postage, announce the list's availability here, and PM it to whoever responds?

Selling on CL is kind of a hassle IMO, with so many flakes. And selling on eBay brings lots of nickel and dime listing fees. If you sold on PPOT, you would probably have few if any flakes and no listing fees.

Whether it should be in PPOT or one of the For Sale forums here, I'm not sure.

If you did this, I'd be interested in seeing the list.

Here's a rare item. I'm not sure what it's worth...
It's the 1996 Ingersoll-Rand 125th Anniversary IR231 1/2" dr 22 carat gold plated impact wrench with a Schrade 3-blade pocket knife (matching serial numbers). It's never been used and still in original box.

This is now listed on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=290313589585

A list without pictures doesn't have much appeal IMHO.

You already own a snake ranch, what are you looking to buy.
?

I can help with the business plan if you need any advice...I grew up on a small ranch and have the farm thing down pat

Best of luck, it is a life changer.

Why do I get the feeling Joe has met a new SO candidate?
