The Manny-less Dodgers were defeated 5-3 yesterday and look to win today (currently up 7-1).
I'm off to see the Red Sox (hopefully) beat up on the halos tonight - wonder if there will be any cool plays like that. Maybe Ellsbury will steal home a few more times.

I saw my first MLB game in person last night. Cubs vs Padres in Chicago. Padres scored 2 in first or second. Hot dog was ok, ribs good. It got kinda chilly and windy. And I was bored. So I left in the fifth. Don't know what the score was. I'm not a baseball fan, if that isn't obvious :-).

Beautiful. Stealing home in the bigs is a rare event. Takes perfect timing and LOTS of speed. Love to see it. Rickey Henderson was the king of stealing home when Billy Martin managed the A's, and he only did it 5 times. I think Rod Carew stole home 15 times or more. A lost art.
