Good point. The pic he posted was suspiciously free of panty lines.

Lots of little bits of concrete to pick up looks like quality entertainment. What happened to the Bob cat and roll off ag box? any re-bar?

Nope, no rebar. However, in keeping with my homes tradition of 'inexplicable half assed BS that leaves you shaking your head', the concrete starts off at 3-4 inches thick at one end, and ends up being 14 inches thick at the other?!?!?! I'm not exaggerating, sure wish I was. Why the hell would they do that? Was concrete free in 1947 when this place was built? I'm guessing there is a good cubic yard in the last 8 feet of sidewalk. Great.

Ya know, I actually have very little crushed material left. The vast majority is large 20-40 pound chunks. It was pretty easy to learn how to 'shave' larger chunks off the face.

I'm going after the rest Monday.

My apartment building in Upstate NY, they used concrete to level the floor. The workman who was rebuilding the kitchen found that my floor sloped and he had 8" at one end, and 2 inches at the other. I guess it is not that expensive...

Aaaagh feeel yor pain(and still feeling it).

Tips:
-Take that electric back to the store and get a gas. Make sure it starts easily first.
The gas is lighter and 3x faster.
-Use the pointed bit to make holes 8-10" apart, then use the chisel to connect them. Bigger chunks and less gravel.
-Stop and relocate when the ringing turns into a thunk, or the bit will just bury itself and get stuck.
-Use the leftover chunks for bordering flower beds or shoring up slopes.

Dynamite alone will not work.

You need a fuse too!
