Paul - I am selling my brother's 2007 GT500 if you're interested. Only 2,000 miles. Lemme know!

Car should be here early next week...

That is so cool...while I have no, "must have" car right now, I really like your choice, Paul.

Did you ever have a fling with a Whippedpuppy in Kansas;)

I was impressed with Ben's...it sure drove out better than my old GTO's...
But, when you don't fit, you don't fit...how tall is your friend? You know how big I am...too big for today's P-cars because of the less leg room caused by the body change needed for all wheel drive systems.

That's a huffer engine, right? No thanks... I mean, blown or turbo engines don't seem to live as long under the additional strain on rings, valves, etc. I really do like the less trim of the Bullitt...

I keep surfing back & forth between the '09 front end pic earlier here and the '10...trying to eliminate the fogs, the grill emblem, just looking at the lines. I really think I prefer the clean look of the '09...without the flares, the bigger grille opening, and the bulge in the hood. Purely a taste thing, tho...

I agree with you on this. And the rear end on the new ones looks much worse than on the 08 and 09 models.

Update...dealer called again! Now looking at Saturday. No big rush. Question. Anybody here with litronic headlights? Ford calls them "HID"...but I think it's the same thing. Looks like my 'Stang has them...

HID is literally "light years" ahead of any other car head lights.

Litronic is sensational. Well done.

Good choice. Let us know when you pick it up, and post some pics.

Sounds like a fun car.

DanielDudley 05-27-2009 05:37 PM

Yeah, I know it's a Bullit Mustang. But a picture with you in it would be nice, since we can't be at the christening.

pwd72s 05-27-2009 06:25 PM

I can't figure out the digital camera we have...smaller than it's owner's manual, and I have hands that one of can pick up a basketball. Well, I'll also confess to a lack of interest in the damned thing..Maybe in the future another pelican will come thru, then send me some of his digital pics...every digital post I make is done that way...

Paul - I have HID's on my daily driver and although the light they emit is brighter, they are so expensive when you need to replace a bulb or if anything happens to your headlight. To replace the bulb in my Passat was $120 and that was with a heavy discount of retail. Just something to consider, I'll never be tempted by the HID's again, for the original extra cost of the option, to replacement cost imo they are not worth it.

Rot 911 05-28-2009 07:57 AM

Matt, my BMW is 7 years old with the original bulbs. My wife's Mini is 3 years old with the original bulbs. I just don't hear about them going out all that often.

rammstein 05-28-2009 09:42 AM

I had HIDs on the RX8 I leased a few years ago- it is NICE. I miss those headlights tremendously. On a dark, rainy night, I think its a safety thing- you really do see better and further.

Just saw this, fantastic choice!! One of my good friends here in L.A. has an '08 Bullit and I ride in it a lot lately. He drove me up to pick-up my truck in it. The funny thing is that I always think of you when I'm around that car because strangely enough, he has the hots for the new Challenger. I tell him over and over how much I prefer the car he has to the Dodge. Much better retro design, cooler car in the first place, coolest version of cooler car, etc., etc... :)

The interior in a Challenger is truly garbage, in the Mustang it is the best that America offers. And a beautiful rendition of a great dash design and seats. We had a new '67 Mustang coupe w/ 289 h.o. and the first Firestone Wide Ovals in Hunter Green, so between that and the great movie/car/star, you have picked my favorite American car. They got everything right on it, the sound/color/wheels/etc., it's the bomb. Congrats!

With my dad in '67, you can see our new 'stang in BG:
