Five Guys Burgers & Fries

In a weak moment today I stopped by Five Guys for lunch. OMG these are great burgers!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you haven't tried, do yourself a favor - just make sure to take your cholesterol meds.

I can only eat there about twice a year. They must use more oil than the EXXON VALDEZ.

I just found out about these "Five Guys" and WOW what a good burger!!!

Whats up with the ton of fries you get!! They "brown bag" your burger and fries the dump a big scoop of more fries in the bag.

Love the small menu concept!

Not many Five Guys here, but we have "SMASHBURGER", which kicks butt. Awful fries, though, which the Five Guys have nailed.

The burgers and fresh cut fries are fantastic, every now and then...lol I would look like your average American if I ate there every week.

5 Guys in Denver now??? Awesome...As bad as their burgers are for you (and honestly the regular burger is way too much food), they're among my favorites. A burger and a bag of fries...what's not to like?! A bit stuck overseas right now...but the clock is ticking down!

Hottest franchise east of the Mississippi now and springing up everywhere throughout greater Atlanta. Inexpensive, fresh, fast and excellent quality.

The fries have to be the best on the planet and the large size is enough to feed a family of four!!!! Rip open the brown paper bag and yummeeeeeeeeee. These guys even stock bottles of malt vinegar as a condiment, which my wife from Providence, Rhode Island calls, "perfect".

If you have to eat a burger and fries and do not want to break the bank, take a break from the drive-thru and try Five-Guys.............

They even give you UNLIMITED salted shelled peanuts to munch on while your waiitng for your order.

They've been in Virginia for many years. Then they put one in the food court across the street from my office in DC. Sure was nice. The use peanut oil for their fries and their meat is fresh, never frozen. I don't think it's nearly as unhealthy as the fast food chains.

When I was in medical school an overweight 45 year old man came into the emergency room with a heart attack. He died. I went home and threw out everything in the fridge that contained fat. I started exercising and I quit eating red meat.

A month later I was working on the medical floor. The average age of our medical patients seemed to be about 98. One guy in particular was 94 years old. His heart and lungs were in fabulous shape. He gave every indication that he would last for many more years. Like most of his fellow patients he had a head full of sawdust. He didn't know where the hell he was or what he was doing. He spent his days eating soup and crapping his pants.

I went out that night and ate a huge steak.

My bad eating habits may take 10 years off my life... but it's the last 10.
