I've been using it for years. My Doc says it's bad ju ju, but when you need to breath, it's a lifesaver.

Luckily I don't use it but every so often and durring allergy season. I found a couple that expired ack in 2006 and 2007, so I'm not over using it...

Thought that odd as well but Grasseater has been a member for a little bit so likely lurking. Username does not pop up on known spammer list.

At least they upped your meds. You could be on tramadol instead. I think the darvo drugs were giving people heart attacks though.

Darvo was causing heart problems...

Lortab is about to be fiddled with due to the Acetaminophen. We are hearing that all Hydrocodone/apap problems will be capped at x/325...

So no more 10/500....

If I wanted to kill myself I can think of better ways than od'ing on tylenol. FDA should stay away from meddling with pharmacies and worry about more important matters like home-grown organic produce.

Considering it came up about 14 months after my original post, yes, spammer. But reminds me that I'll have to hoard the stuff if they don't change the formula. $18 for a month versus $90-$100 for the Albuteral prescription stuff. Sure sacrifice my health and wallet for a few milliliters of CFC. What about those who can't afford the $100 stuff? I guess they'll get it from ObamaCare.

You aren't going to OD on the tylenol... All of the acetaminophen will kill your liver over time...

Re Spam?

Sorry guys. I never though anyone would think it spam (the free asthma nutrient/enzyme protocol). I just thought it might be a useful reource for some and since it's free, I passed it on.

LOL, yeah I checked known spammer lists and you did not show up and the way it was written did not really scream spam but usually a 1st post like that is a red flag.

Welcome aboard. Where are the obligatory pics of your car?

I thought I'd post on this subject again. The FDA/EPA banned it effective 1/1/2012, but it started disappearing from shelves in November. I bought 5 at about $21 each, today they are illegal to sell and you can find a few on Amazon, et. al./ going for $100 to $200 plus per unit. The amount of CFCs from this source is miniscule. Luckily, I don't need them much. I can get real inhalers from my medical insurance for about $20 each. Without insurance those same other inhalers are about $100 each, It must suck for those without HC, maybe this belongs in PARF.

You say you won't have ins when you retire but you will have Medicare. You should be able to get this stuff from your doc and then through Part D of your Medicare.

The EPA is what is left of J. Edgar Hoover. Perhaps Romney understands what needs to be done with those ass holes. Don't care if I sent this to PARF.

And you can always get it in Mexico where we can get most of what we need.

Yeah, I'm OK, it just sort of ticks me off that a low cost relief for many, many people is being denied in the name of Global Warming. Political correctness without considering who is actually being affected. I should have hoarded thousands and blown off the stock market. 500% return in one month!

Armstrong Pharmaceuticals (owned by Amphastar) made Primatene Mist which is aerosolized epinephrine using a CFC inhaler.

They are supposedly developing a HFA inhaler for the product. Hard to say why they don't have one ready now, they've had several years (like, since 2004-ish) to develop it, and there's no particular technical obstacle.

There are other HFA-based asthma inhalers that are available by prescription. Apparently superior to epinephrine. Eventually some of those will go to over the counter.

Primatene Mist: Going, Going, Gone | Allergy and Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics

Say Bye-Bye to Primatene Mist (At Least in its Current Form) - Health Blog - WSJ

Sure, each Primatene Mist has only a small amount of CFC. But two million users, emptying a dozen inhalers a year (?), it adds up.

Everyone thinks their own pollution is too small to matter.
