and for that, no sane person could blame him.

I cringed for the original poster (and that doesn't happen often) as he proudly posted multiple pictures of someone's pet lizard with a bullet through his head.

todd, being the compassionate person he is, saved the original poster from himself.

Hello... PETA? I'd like to report a case of lizard abuse. Yes biological agents are being used. Does a Pelican assaulting a Lizard fall under your jurisdiction?

Y'all quit hassling Byron. He's just doing what his physical therapist told him to do to get over the knee surgery.

They do things a little bit differently in Florida... try to understand that.

May 28--CASSELBERRY -- Leapin' lizards! They shot him.

The monitor lizard that made waves recently in the Lost Lake subdivision was sunbathing on the banks of a retention pond Sunday morning when a police officer took aim and popped off two shots at the elusive reptile.

Just as quickly as it had been hit, the 41/2-foot creature jumped into the water.

"There's no doubt that the thing was shot," said Lt. Dennis Stewart of the Casselberry Police Department.

But is it dead?

The lizard had managed for months to evade police, wildlife officers, trappers and a few radio listeners who wrongly thought a local...
