I dont mean to be critical of people....but Megan Fox just doesnt do much for me. She is pretty....but kind of hard-looking...and the Tats don't help her cause either. IMO she is not going to age well, you can kinda see it already.

As far as Transformers...i havent seen it, but the previews look like its just one big ol CGI Cartoon...

apparently its already made $450 mil so someone likes that stuff... just not me

Saw it.

Transformers 2 was potentially the worst movie ever. Worse than that other Michael Bay Epic "Pearl Harbor". Somebody needs to learn about directing AND editing.

-2 hr 45 minutes for a movie about Robots and cars? C'mon! They'r not serious, surely? Unfortunately they were.
-2hr 45 minutes of one long continuing explosion is just stupifyingly bad, boring, deafening, numbing and boring again.
-No geographic/plot continuity.
-Heavy overuse of the 360 pan...spinning...spinning...barfing....
-Not enough cars....and that says alot for a 2+ hour film!
-Not enough Megan Fox...again...says alot.

Just my OP.

It was way better than Pearl Harbor.

Not that that's saying much.

Haven't see II yet, One was OK. I agree that Pearl Harbor sucked. It could have been really good, but they turned it into a love story. Spent four months working on Pearl Harbor, the effects and explosions were really, really well done. Rest of the movie, not so good.

There is an hour in the middle of Pearl Harbor that is really good (the battle scene), surrouned by crap on both sides.

Saw Transformers 2 last night, I liked the first one better. If you shut off your brain for a few hours, it's good fun. The mysterious bandaged hand bugged me though, that seems like an amateur mistake.

Saw Transformers II today - it was not better than the first. I felt it had lots of good in it but it was just put together very badly. Unfortunately Michael did not do a good job of directing this one I guess...

It was also very long - I felt like there were two story lines in there that really could have been two very good two hour movies. Like Optimus dying and then his resurrection. They glossed over what could be great 'story' in favor of raw effects and action (duh! Michael Bay directing eh).

PLUS there was a 4 or so year old girl in our row who was just FREAKING OUT over the movie. My wife was fuming and it messed things up for me too. She went to the manager but he said there was nothing he could do. The mom had already removed the child by then but brought her back once she was calm.

That poor girl - I've got two young ones myself - one is that age. I would joke about it but never actually bring my 4 year old to a movie like that. MAN!

I took my 5 year old, he loved it. Sat quietly the entire time, unlike the adult who saw fit to yell everytime sometime happened.

My 4 year old is afraid of the movies - I don't know why but he is. I've taken him to see two, Horton hears a Who and Up. He loves Horton and had no problem in the theater once he got in. Up was a little over his head though, he had no problem in there.

I've shown him the trailer for Transformers and he loves it on the small screen - on the big screen I think he would poop his pants.

He's a little bit of a chicken ***** (by 4 year old standards). He's grows out of it though. For a while he was afraid of Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney but now he loves it.

There were two boys in front of us, one appeared around 4 or 5 and the other probably 6ish and they seemed to have no problem. Still, I don't think this movie is appropriate for them (no judgment on you - he's your kid) but I think it would depend on the kid.

Mine is definitely not ready for it.

Director: Megan Fox 'Says Some Very Ridiculous Things'by Us Magazine

July 1, 2009 Megan Fox slammed "Transformers" director Michael Bay for focusing more on special effects than acting, but he doesn't mind.

"Well, that's Megan Fox for you," Bay tell the Wall Street Journal. "She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.

"You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it,'" he goes on.
Fox told Entertainment Weekly: "I mean, I can't s--- on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a--. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."

Bay says he "100 percent disagrees" with Fox.
"Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in 'Armageddon.' Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did 'Transformers' -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from 'Bad Boys'," he points out.

Bay thinks Fox could be a little more grateful, though.
"Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers," he says. "I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

Mmmm. You guys are funny.

Its a kids movie. My kids (and me I suppose) grew up with Transfomers in the early 90s. I dont how many of those pointy plastic toys Ive trodden on in the middle of the night. We went to see the first film and we loved it. It was simply ace, we are hitting the cinema this weekend to no.2.

It aint Battleship Potemkin,Citizen Kane or Metropolis. Its Transformers its about 80ft robots that hide as trucks. My 12 yo sez Transformers rock and I completely agree.

Also, for the record. I have no problem with Megan Fox whatsoever. None.

I knew exactly who she was prior to the first Transformers (She had been on an episode of Two and a half men) - if he hadn't cast her as eye candy - someone else would have.

For the record as well, I grew up on the transformers and I really enjoyed the first one. I did enjoy this one as well I just didn't feel it was put together nearly as well and I am someone who loves movies and tries to 'loose' myself in them. I don't try to be critical or think things are 'unbelieveable' - I love the fantastic and Transformers has all the fantastic you could possibly imagine.

Michael Bey just didn't do a good job on this movie, I feel that coming from a very forgiving guy like me - well, yeah. Still - I don't want my money back. It had some unbelievable stuff in it. I do stand by my statement that I think this one movie has two extremely good 2 hour movies in it - too bad for them I guess - they could have had even more of our money.

I can't believe I paid almost $10 for a coke and some popcorn willingly.

No. More unbelievablle than 80ft tall AUtobots that can turn into Comaros and rap dance?

Just kidding. Holding a position of suspended disbelief....the story tellers art.

Well, I just saw it too with a bunch of kids. We all thought it was great.

Personally, I think Megan Fox is the next Dame Helen Mirren, and Optimus Prime is a shoe in for the males lead Academy this year.

What are you all doing watching movies like this unless its with kids? Next you'll be telling me the Harry Pottter got the quiddich rules wrong.

I didn't care for it. The first was very OK, this was an exercise in computer graphics without a real plot. M21's comment about Pearl Harbor is mine as well, and I worked on PH. Michael Bay is waning as a director.

Pearl harbor lost it for me when the Japanese started "bombing" Spruance class Guided missile destroyers. :-/

The whole love triangle thing was as stupid as it was superflous.

Sorry to hear you were involved in that hugh. I imagine it took quite a while to wash off the stink.

Still haven't seen it....don't plan to.

We (wife, kid, and I) did see Night at the Museum 2 this weekend. Goofy and fun. I don't mind saying that Amy Adams is 100% cutie and 1000x the woman Megan Fox could ever hope to be.
