That's good advice! As soon as he is up and running again, he should go to the gym and work out a bit. Strong muscles make a strong body. Don't forget about your abs, they support your core and are very important.
And chicks dig a nice physique, added bonus.

Porsche-poor 06-20-2011 09:16 PM

Lol no he plays a guitar. He really would like one like Dave is making.

Geronimo '74 06-20-2011 09:26 PM

I'll bet he'll have some stories when he comes back. :D

(somehow piano-black on a guitar doesn't sound right but it looks great IMO)

slodave 06-20-2011 09:26 PM

I can build him one. How deep's your wallet? :D

livi 06-20-2011 09:32 PM

Morning, guys!

porsche4life 06-20-2011 09:32 PM

What can I count as exercise G? ;)

livi 06-20-2011 09:39 PM

Posting on Pelican..?

Geronimo '74 06-20-2011 09:44 PM

Well to build strength (in a resonable amount of time) hiking and climbing aren't going to cut it... (Neither is what you're thinking of, perv :p)

I'd say the gym is the best place. It's a controlled environment (kinda).
But with your busy schedule, it's going to be hard to fit in 3 or 4 weekly visits to the gym.
Alternatively you can do some exercises at home, using your body wieght instead of dumbells.

Before you know it, you'll be throwing chicks from one side of the bed to the other, lifting them up in dark alleyways and stuff like that.... :D:D:D:D:D (what, you think I work out for fun?? :D)

Male bravery

Brave:
Coming home late at night **** loaded. Moving a chair next to the side of the bed your wife is sleeping on. She wakes up asking what the he11 your are doing. "I want to have first row when the circus starts."

Braver:
Coming home late at night **** loaded. Meeting your wife in the hallway with a broom in her hand. You go "are you cleaning or on your way to witch town?"

Bravest:
Coming home late at night **** loaded, reeking of perfume, with lipstick on your collar. Meeting you wife in the hallway, murder in her eyes. You go "now its your turn!"

Geronimo '74 06-20-2011 09:50 PM

lol

I'm guessing you don't run that mouth with the mrs/GF... :)

livi 06-20-2011 09:51 PM

I am guessing I wouldn´t be around to tell about it.

I can already do that... ;)

I don't need to be super buff, I just need for everything to stay in place under heavy activity. That is what the PT will do, help strengthen my back, to where the ****ty genetics can't mess me up so easy....

Once the pain lets up, I am going to start hitting the cycle, and running. I have to get my endurance up...

Geronimo '74 06-20-2011 09:54 PM

(@Markus)

You can say anything you like here, this place is like a pub, less the beer, less the women....

(pretty depressing actually, once you come to think of it... :D:D)

livi 06-20-2011 09:55 PM

Its a sanctuary!

porsche4life 06-20-2011 09:58 PM

Its funny that you think I am kidding....

Don't worry, the looking buff part takes a long time and effort. It does not come overnight. An athletic physique comes first.
And without eating like an animal, training like a monster and the obligatory steroids, a bodybuilders physique is impossible to get for 99% of the people.
(A lot of women don't want to train with weights because they fear of getting buff... which is silly)

if you have a weak back and are not planning to work out and get it stronger, focus on cycling instead of running.
