LOL! and thanks. honestly, i'd rather have my friend's 749. that said, jezebel is fun. she is also a handful. jezebel is the best bike i have owned, for sure. the 749 trumps her with tractability. jezebel is much more raw.

Oh, thanks for the offer, Tweeze. I would be happy to meet you and go do some hiking or something around here. Not sure about the going out bit.

The name thing, I think it was just your last name that struck me as not what I expected. The rest was normal Vietnamese. Of course that first name was probably a surname in Vietnam, right? They do the surname first there if I remember correctly from my class about, uh, well... the Vietnam War/American War in high school.

max, beauty exists in many forms. you have to marry your friend. if you aren't friends, first and foremost, the relationship is doomed.

nynor 04-10-2012 06:33 PM

and max, what is the difference with going hiking and going out to dinner? in my book: none. you need to think outside of the 'box', so to speak. (hehehehe!)

That is absolute truth if I ever saw it.

Hiking (or even better mountainbiking) is something I love to do. Going out to dinner is way too formal for me. I like cosy dinners at home, or else being romantically alone looking at a great view on some mountaintop.

if I had one it would last a week. I'd be dead she'd be a mess. Biggest bike I have ever been on was my dad's 1100 midnight special. I prefered my 750 Seca. I had it from the summer of my 16th year till I was 20.

Porsche-poor 04-10-2012 06:39 PM

Well if any of you ever come to Seattle Tacoma area I'll gladly take a few days off and show you around the best I can.

Ok, first, Sid, shut up. I am not asking Max out on a date. I am offering to be the friend girl so he can get used to talking to girls.

Max, I sure as heck hope you didn't think I was asking you out or was thinking about going to take you drinking or anything like that! Geez!

Just offering to be a friend and everybody thinks I am on the prowl as a cougar.

MEN!

Flieger 04-10-2012 06:42 PM

I think tomorrow (I have class with her almost every day just like the other girl) I will ask her if she would like to go cycling or hiking sometime. I saw her on her bike this morning.

It just feels right. Who knows, maybe she has cute friends that are also interested in the same sort of stuff.

Well if you weren't asking for a sort of mock date, then you are out of luck on being the first friend girl. I've know her for a couple years now I think. Back in Intermediate Dynamics was the first time we met. Seems like I've known her longer. She's graduating same time I am, I think.

I had friends who were girls in grade school but that was before there was much of the battle between looks and heart. So she is the first. But she seems like quite a good one.

i don't believe that. one must have respect and it seems that you have respect. i don't want to die, i ride within my limits. well within my limits. it used to be that i wasn't satisfied unless i could feel both wheels sliding in the curves. i've backed well away from there.

Porsche-poor 04-10-2012 06:48 PM

I was always pushing it. Used to drive the old man nuts he'd cruise the corners and I'd pass him on the inside. Mostly cause I could. I loved that bike. I was looking for a new one when the better half said buy a car......911 later.....

I never really was reckless but I have developed a much more mellow outlook on life. I still keep up lots of momentum through the curves but always within my limits. And only on select nice roads. Otherwise I tootle along and enjoy the scenery. Life is too short not to enjoy nature's beauty while it is still there. It saves wear and tear on the machinery, too. And driving less saves fuel. I try to drive less, pedal more. At least with the 911.

Flieger 04-10-2012 06:53 PM

I wasn't thinking of a date, either Tweeze. But I'd still like to meet you and go hiking or something. I don't like running in the city but I could jog on a trail. Or go to the beach, even though I usually just comb the beach and look at tidepools.

BTW, I like your hair in your fb profile picture.

Noah930 04-10-2012 06:57 PM

You're on to something Max. Not everything is style over substance.
