Morning all been in the hospital some scary flu hit me like a train wreak. Still weak. man when you can't keep water down you know your in trouble.Be a while before I get back to work on Cristine, started thinking this was it.Sometimes thank God for modern medicine, they sure don't let you sleep in the hospital, you got to get better. I had a really nice young caring nurse.

nynor 01-14-2010 01:40 AM

damn, scary. its been going around.

slodave 01-14-2010 01:40 AM

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I hope the rest of the recovery is quick...

Morning guys!!
Separated tranny and engine yesterday, removed some sheetmetal.
Head temp sensor is giving me stress though, it's screwed in very tightly (or has become so over the years) and its hex bolt portion is not accesible with an ordinary spanner.... Not without damaging the fins anyway.... Tonight I'm adapting a ringspanner so it goes over the wire of the sensor and over the hex portion.... (a bit like a crows foot spanner) It'll come out, trust me....

Just cut the wire. If it is in there that tight it is likely the original one. You don't want to use that one for a new engine. It is just one of the many "while you are in there" things to upgrade.
